British artist Banksy opened a pop-up store in a former carpet shop in south London, as filmed on Wednesday.
Artworks were installed in a series of window displays of the showroom called 'Gross Domestic Product'. According to the artist, it will have its doors closed for the next two weeks while the items will be available online.
Banksy made a statement saying that he was forced to open his own store after a legal dispute with a greetings card company.
The opening came before the auction of the artist's Devolved Parliament painting depicting the UK parliament with chimps in the place of politicians. It is expected to fetch up to $2.5 million (1.8 million euros).

POP UP 2019: clown @ the bt21 opening || Arlene
I was lucky enough to be invited to the opening on Friday 15th for the BT21/LINE pop-up store which will be open for three weeks starting on the 16th of November every weekend, where they will be selling exclusive merchandise that changes every week.
This was my first time as I didn’t go to the one in June, so I didn’t know what to expect. If you are planning to go please don’t be lining up so early in the cold for it, just go anytime during the day.
I had a great time being surprised by familiar faces, which you can see in this vlog because we all had to keep it a secret about the invites ???? but it was so much fun and they saved me from buying unnecessary stuff x
Because I’m posting this now week ones ended check @bravadomerchuk Instagram for the exclusive merch that they announce a few days before the weekend and decide if you want to go for that weekend or not. But still go because we weren’t told but I think the layout changes every weekend so if you’re into cute ig pics go and maybe decide what merch that won't be changing every weekend (eg. Funko pops, key rings, etc.) you might wanna get and get it the last week of the pop up store... (this works best if you’re not planning getting the second weeks exclusive merch, if not get it all together) lol hope I make sense, its hard to explain... bet yEE go

Wall Stories: Children's Wallpapers and Books
On view: October 3, 2008April 5, 2009
This exhibition will explore the relationship between wallpapers and books created for children through works from the permanent collection and the National Design Library. From their beginning in the 1870s, children's wallpapers have been strongly influenced by literature and popular culture. Works on view will include papers illustrated with nursery rhymes and designs inspired by works of fiction and adventure, such as Peter Rabbit, Alice in Wonderland, and Cinderella. The exhibition also will trace the evolution of children's books from instructional to fictional and include developments such as movable and pop-up books, which added an interactive element to children's reading.
Wall Stories: Childrens Wallpaper and Books is made possible in part by public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a State agency. Additional support is provided in part by Esme Usdan, Margery and Edgar Masinter, The Liman Foundation and The Walt Disney Company.

Pop-Up Art Comes to Your Living Room, Backyard and Elsewhere
Around the world, independent artists and musicians wrestle with a common problem: where to exhibit or perform? Traditional spaces such as museums and galleries are reserved for bigger names, and renting a space is not feasible for many. Enter ArtsUp, which connects artists with venue owners. Whether it’s a living room, restaurant, office or even a boat, pop-up events are bringing music and art to unexpected places. Tina Trinh has more.

ℹ️ About the Pop Up Museum ℹ️
An old building in Tel-Aviv was destined for demolition, so a group of local artists together with city officials transformed it into a temporary graffiti museum for a few days. The rooms were awesome, creative, and fun.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This 360 video of this temporary art museum might be long, but since the building had already been destoryed, with all the art within, I thought it was important to perserve it in some way.

❓What is a 360 video?❓
360-degree videos, also called spherical videos or immersive videos, are video recordings where a view in every direction is recorded at the same time, shot using an omnidirectional camera or a collection of cameras.
During playback on normal flat display the viewer has control of the viewing direction like a panorama. The video can also be played in VR glasses, where the viewer can tilt his head and see all around him, or it can also be played on displays or projectors arranged in a sphere or some part of a sphere.
I am using the Insta360 one X, which is my favourite camera.

Threads on Tour: Pop-up Gallery Project
Hello! We are Threads. We would like to present our project... Threads on Tour: Pop-up Gallery Project
After staging several pop-up art events we are now at the stage where we need to move Threads on, take on new challenges and embark on the journey we created. So we are taking Threads on tour...
We offer
Free opportunities to exhibit work
Video Art screenings
Peer-to-peer work-in-progress crits
Development workshops
Our project is / your money will support:
We will use this money to match fund an Arts Council Funding application which will help fill the void between graduating with an Art Degree... and the Real World. We will also be able to purchase the equipment we need to sustain our events and exhibitions on a regular basis. We plan on helping fill this void by offering a funded 3 month placement for an Art-Grad to run regular peer-to-peer work-in-progress groups within their local community. They will be learning on the job business skills as they: Source the venue, advertise to reach out to find the Artists, Budget the pop-up exhibition. As a result they will have more experience to present on their CV. The group they manage will meet on a peer-to-peer level, discussing art work in progress with the aim to produce more work alongside trying to earn a living. They will then celebrate their time together with a pop-up exhibition.
If we don't reach our target
We will still be able to use any money we raise to support our application to the Arts Council.
How will this benefit you and the IMPACT of this project?
By creating these pop-up events we boost the cultural drive and excitement for the Arts outside London. We believe that this energy will spark hope in other creatives who lack, or who have lost the confidence to create. We will be able to offer more exhibiting opportunities for Artists and more paid opportunities for those Artists wishing to run workshops etc. with the support of our team.
Moreover, we have a heap of lovely hand-made incentives that we have been working on! As these are limited editions and 1/1's they are incredibly sentimental and high in personal value.
How to Make a City Pop-Up Card | Pop-Up Cards
Watch more How to Make Pop-Up Cards & Crafts videos:
Now I am going to show you how to make a pop-up city out of layers. Take
a piece of cardstock and fold it in half. What we are going to end up
doing is cut the layers of the city out of the base page. Keep it
folded, and we are going to cut a wide layer. Make sure that they are
equal. While it is closed, fold it, fold it back, unfold the base page,
and push the building forward for the layer. Now from here, we are going
to cut another layer right there, and we will cut another one out of
there.
When you close it, make sure that you can cut on either side of that
layer. You're not cutting it together. Make sure that they are even. Be
careful not to cut all the way through to the edge of this first layer.
Now we are going to make another one down here in the front, and I made
a very little incision because I would like this one to be an unequal
layer. I'm going to pop that layer forward, and before I fold it, I'm
going to cut a little higher on this top part.
When we close it, it's going to find where it wants to fold
automatically. Just help it along by pushing it forward and crease it.
Even though it's folding in the middle, that's OK, because we are going
to put a building right on top. I'm going to cut out another building.
I'm going to make this one a little taller. Fold it forward, unfold, and
pop that out. Actually, I'm going to put another layer in here, but it's
going to come in. This one comes out like the other ones, but this layer
will pop in, like that, so that we have some more buildings.
Now that we have some layers, I'm going to double stick some buildings.
I've already pre-cut some rectangles out. You can use whatever shapes
you would like. My guy sticks out, so we are going to trim him down.
There's one building. I'm going to double stick another one on here. He
sticks out too. What I'm going to do is just trim it down. Our city is
beginning to form. That is how you make a pop-up city out of layers.
