Колыма - родина нашего страха / Kolyma - Birthplace of Our Fear

Rowdy separatist warlords run patchwork of fiefdoms in rebel-held eastern Ukraine
They don't call Nikolai Kozitsyn Daddy for nothing.
In the rebel-held eastern Ukrainian town of Perevalsk, the mustachioed Cossack lords it over the locals and pays little heed to the bosses of the breakaway movement.
Kozitsyn, a stocky 58-year old Russian who says he has fighting experience in the former Yugoslavia and in several conflicts across the former Soviet Union, rules over Perevalsk with a stern hand, even condoning capital punishment as a necessary deterrent to crime in unruly times.
In the outskirts of the town, his men, burly Cossacks with wind-burned faces wearing black-and-red astrakhan hats, gather Ukrainian military equipment damaged during fighting.
These were all their (Ukrainian army) vehicles: APCs (armoured personnel carrier), tanks. We hit them and then we bring them here and fix them, says Kozitsyn.
Patches of Ukraine's depressed industrial basin in the east - in the throes of a pro-Russian separatist insurgency - have fallen under the control of such warlords, who run towns as their personal fiefdoms.
Accountable seemingly to nobody, except perhaps Russia, these domains are a further destabilising element in a six-month conflict that has left more than 4,000 dead and displaced a million.
Outside Kozitsyn's headquarters, situated in a gloomy 1950s neo-classical building known as the House of Culture, four parked tanks carry Russian and rebel flags.
Inside in his sparse office hang portraits of Russian President Vladimir Putin and former Kremlin chief of staff Vladislav Surkov - renowned for being the eminence grise of the Moscow leadership.
Kozitsyn imposed his authority quickly in the area.
As armed pro-Russian separatists were seizing one town after another in eastern Ukraine, groups of Cossacks in early May crossed from southern Russia to occupy territories along the border.
They claimed they did so to defend the interests of the native Russian-speaking population.
These are lands of Cossacks, and I have blood of Cossacks, so I came here to fight for these people and together with these people, said Kozistyn.
We stand for our rights to own this territory and its treasures, which were given to us by Our Lord and our fathers.
Kozitsyn, who leads a Cossack unit calling itself the Great Don Army, claims to rule over four-fifths of the rebel-controlled section of the Luhansk region, with thousands of men under his command.
On the other side of the highway running by Perevalsk, in the town of Alchevsk, another rebel leader runs things in similarly uncompromising and independent fashion, attracting controversy for his openness to dialogue with pro-Ukraine unity supporters - and his ruthless stance on law and order.
The leaders in Perevalsk and Alchevsk try to refrain from excessively harsh criticism of their nominal superiors in Luhansk, but they run their own affairs independently.
Top figures in the breakaway governments are a motley group of local men with opaque histories.
Many have links to the political party of former President Viktor Yanukovych, who had his support base in the east.
Yanukovych was overthrown in February after months of often bloody protests that were sparked by his government's decision to favour ties with Russia over Europe.
Perevalsk and Alchevsk both participated in a contentious vote in early November to elect separatist deputies and leaders, but it is evident the outcome of the poll means little on the ground.
Kozitsyn, in Perevalsk, said his authority came from a higher power and that stresses that his organisation is an independent one.
I'm answerable only to President Putin and our Lord, he underlined.

INDIA IRAN JOINT PROJECTS: FUTURE OF CHABAHAR, INSTC, ENERGY EXPLORATION AND AFGHANISTAN STABILITY
The move to expand facilities and communications at the Chabahar port are likely to be beneficial for Iran, Afghanistan and India providing another avenue for trade not just with the land locked country but also with Central Asian republics of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. Indian companies who are planning to harvest the iron ore from mines in Hajigak in Bamyan province will also be able to use the port. The minerals will be moved on the road connecting Delaram, on the Kandahar–Herat highway, to Zaranj near the Iranian border build by the Indian border roads. In future a 900km railway between Chabahar and Hajigak mines is also planned. Chabahar port is also seen by many as an alternative to Gwadar which is now being operated by a Chinese company and there is a rivalry of sorts between the two Asian giants in the Arabian Sea as well.
Lying on the coast of the Gulf of Oman in Iran’s southeastern Sistan-Baluchestan Province, Chabahar is the country’s only oceanic port and given its strategic location in the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC) development of the port is of high significance for Iran. The port has two significant docks, namely Shahid Beheshti and Shahid Kalantari, which are mostly referred to as ports, i.e. Shahid Beheshti Port and Shahid Kalantari Port.
The first phase of developing Shahid Beheshti Port is projected to be inaugurated next week in a ceremony to be attended by President Hassan Rouhani and top officials from 27 countries, according to Iran’s Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) Managing Director Mohammad Rastad.
India is also planning to expedite the process of setting up urea and chemical plants in Iran. Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilisers (RCF), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilisers & Chemicals (GNFC) and Gujarat State Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd (GSFCL) are planning to jointly set up urea and chemical plants with an estimated investment of Rs 7,500-8,000 Crore as per a media report.’’
India, like Iran , is supportive of efforts of the Afghan Government and people to build a democratic, pluralistic and peaceful Afghanistan . Neither countries wish to see the prospect of fundamentalist and extremist groups once again suppressing the aspirations of the Afghan people and forcing Afghanistan back to being a training ground and sanctuary for terrorist groups. Towards this end Chabahar is a key agreement that will contribute to development of the Afghan economy/
Another joint project with Iran is the International North South Transport Corridor (INSTC) which is a 7,200-km-long multi-mode network of ship, rail, and road route for moving freight between India, Iran, Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia, Central Asia and Europe. The route primarily involves moving freight from India, Iran, Azerbaijan and Russia via ship, rail and road. The objective of the corridor is to increase trade connectivity between major cities such as Mumbai, Moscow, Tehran, Baku, Bandar Abbas, Astrakhan, Bandar Anzali, etc.
Russia, Iran and India signed the agreement for the INSTC project on May 16, 2002. All three countries are founding member states on the project. Other important member states include Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Belarus with other states having varying levels of involvement.
Given its location in the INSTC, Iran’s southeastern port of Chabahar is of high significance in the INSTC project. India and Iran have a long-standing agreement, signed in 2002, to develop Chabahar into full deep sea port. The port has the ability to handle cargo ships bigger than 100,000 tons and industry analysts have highlighted there are long term plans to integrate Chabahar with the NSTC.

What Putin Really Wants
Trump Breaking News Network - What Putin Really Wants
I. The Hack
The large, sunny room at Volgograd State University smelled like its contents: 45 college students, all but one of them male, hunched over keyboards, whispering and quietly clacking away among empty cans of Juicy energy drink. “It looks like they’re just picking at their screens, but the battle is intense,” Victor Minin said as we sat watching them.

Azerbaijan's people must have their own parliament national assembly
I any idea is good for making Azerbaijan free from occupation Iran.
and parliamentarian is also a way that people can hit your head on Iranians and reginen Iran.but when it comes to parliament, I personally do not think will succeed.
if you think back five years Ahmed Obali nagged about the party that he wanted to build up what happened? Thus, it is so clear now Ahmed Obali Can build up a gang call the parliament and come do this, but the question is how you see the happiness.
those who know Ahmed Obali know he is a lot of talk, no workshop.
Ahmed Obali know some people and stuck them where Azerbaijan's question never does anything success.Ahmed Obali personally give much time for bullshit nonsense.
Ahmed Obali myself personally have to realize that without people gunaz TV is total failure.
Thus we know, Azerbaijan has a large share of idiots who want to die as slaves to parse Iran but gunaztv must have their own registers of Azerbaijan people around the world and Ahmed Obali always pulls something joke about Madagaska.
and he himself would understand gunaztv is a television station to a land a people so he does have a record of his people around the world if he is forced to have an office in Madagaska chasing Azerbaijan people around the world and he'd forced acquired forward one of those records of our people the same day he started gunaztv or political party organizations, something anything is possible just as he opened gunaztv the Azerbaijan people.and maybe I'm completely wrong Ahmed Obali can have one of those records after his own taste of special people friends buddies cousins but the question is how long will it with a bunch of stuff? it is clear there are some other things that need to be counted and plays a major role on Azerbaijan's future example short of money and he is alone and other things can not trust anyone and Iran always tries to send their spies.
telxampel we are alone task ahead of us to sort this out properly. it's always extra sensitive when it is a people and country involved.Anyway, I think he could have done much better others when you have people behind her when you can go long long this is my own opinion and does not matter who I am, I say that I feel a little complaining does no harm and others want to show the way for all anyone knows what they're doing as a viewer I can say my opinion is a country under occupation they do not know when that country Azerbaijan will become free the country from Iran's occupation still those who believe their is Azerbaijan's citizens put around the globe are arguing about ministerial posts prime minister and other key roles I think the inside outside Azerbaijansk citizens the people must unite her and forget everything else start to stop fighting with each other ministerial posts when we have made us free, then you have a chance to get what you want if people vote you or you otherwise you just destroys the Azerbaijan and the people you who are the citizens of Europe United States you would start acting a little better, I am ashamed of you as democratic people you are arguing with each other, it is time you stop arguing and stop being jealous towards each other very thing will get better and Battle of parliament is one of the most important battles for both sides to take control of the Azerbaijan People's strategically important issue is our citizens to believe that the city of Tabriz in Guney Azerbaijan we have our own national assembly parliament and we are not Iranians second Iran has with help of Russia occupied ourselves Azerbaijan Anything is possible if there is a filter of Azerbaijan's people that have their own parliament national assembly which must all work together and show that Iran is not our representative and all the parties that go under Azerbaijan's name has an obligation to cooperate as I said, this would have been done a long time ago but yet it is not late and I'm just a soldier if you are not prepared to kill for your country Azerbaijan with you were you will not be long I'm just disappointed with Azerbaijan's people who want to die as slaves of some some who call themselves dogs

Borderland - E8/8 - Brother Nation
In this series Jelle Brandt Corstius explores the border countries between Russia and Europe, from Latvia to Moldavia, West and East Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan. What is the picture that the Russians and their neighbours have of each other, how are the relationships between powerful Russia and the other former Soviet republics? And how do the surrounding countries treat their Russian inhabitants? A series about propaganda and identity.
Episode 8: Brother nation
Ukraine is a country on the verge of bankruptcy, that has been ruled by corrupt politicians ever since the fall of the Berlin Wall, and is now torn by a civil war. Does this country even have a right of existence? Or was it, in fact, the war that united the Ukraine people? Jelle talks to refugees, and visits the KGB archives that have recently been opened to the public. We also visit the trenches, where volunteers are risking their lives to defend their country.

SUMMARY
=======
Russia (Russian: Росси́я, tr. Rossiya, IPA: [rɐˈsʲijə]), officially the Russian Federation (Russian: Росси́йская Федера́ция, tr. Rossiyskaya Federatsiya, IPA: [rɐˈsʲijskəjə fʲɪdʲɪˈratsɨjə]), is a country in Eurasia. At 17,125,200 square kilometres (6,612,100 sq mi), Russia is the largest country in the world by area, covering more than one-eighth of the Earth's inhabited land area, and the ninth most populous, with about 144.5 million people as of 2018, excluding Crimea. About 77% of the population live in the western, European part of the country. Russia's capital, Moscow, is the largest metropolitan area in Europe proper and one of the largest cities in the world; other major cities include Saint Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg and Nizhny Novgorod. Extending across the entirety of Northern Asia and much of Eastern Europe, Russia spans eleven time zones and incorporates a wide range of environments and landforms. From northwest to southeast, Russia shares land borders with Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland (both with Kaliningrad Oblast), Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia and North Korea. It shares maritime borders with Japan by the Sea of Okhotsk and the U.S. state of Alaska across the Bering Strait.
The East Slavs emerged as a recognizable group in Europe between the 3rd and 8th centuries AD. Founded and ruled by a Varangian warrior elite and their descendants, the medieval state of Rus arose in the 9th century. In 988 it adopted Orthodox Christianity from the Byzantine Empire, beginning the synthesis of Byzantine and Slavic cultures that defined Russian culture for the next millennium. Rus' ultimately disintegrated into a number of smaller states; most of the Rus' lands were overrun by the Mongol invasion and became tributaries of the nomadic Golden Horde in the 13th century. The Grand Duchy of Moscow gradually reunified the surrounding Russian principalities, achieved independence from the Golden Horde. By the 18th century, the nation had greatly expanded through conquest, annexation, and exploration to become the Russian Empire, which was the third largest empire in history, stretching from Poland on the west to Alaska on the east.Following the Russian Revolution, the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic became the largest and leading constituent of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, the world's first constitutionally socialist state. The Soviet Union played a decisive role in the Allied victory in World War II, and emerged as a recognized superpower and rival to the United States during the Cold War. The Soviet era saw some of the most significant technological achievements of the 20th century, including the world's first human-made satellite and the launching of the first humans in space. By the end of 1990, the Soviet Union had the world's second largest economy, largest standing military in the world and the largest stockpile of weapons of mass destruction. Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, twelve independent republics emerged from the USSR: Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and the Baltic states regained independence: Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania; the Russian SFSR reconstituted itself as the Russian Federation and is recognized as the continuing legal personality and a successor of the Soviet Union. It is governed as a federal semi-presidential republic.
Russia's economy ranks as the twelfth largest by nominal GDP and sixth largest by purchasing power parity in 2015. Russia's extensive mineral and energy resources are the largest such reserves in the world, making it one of the leading producers of oil and natural gas globally. The country is one of the five recognized nuclear weapons states and possesses the largest stockpile of weapons ...
