Took a tour of the Kandiyohi County Historical Society Museum in Willmar today. They have amazing displays of a variety of different items. My favorites were the Civil War display, Railroad display, Resorts display and Willmar 8 display. Always love to visit during the Holidays as the Festive Forest, Christmas Trees from area groups, is so fun to see! Thanks Jill and Bob for the great tour!!!

EVANSVILLE, MN All across the American countryside, historic wooden barns are disappearing from the rural landscape. Friends of Minnesota Barns is a preservationist organization that raises awareness for this vanishing icon through its annual Barn of the Year Awards. Lakes Country Living visits with Beth Jacobson, whose historic barn received this honor in 2011. Beth shares stories of the Jacobson family's history, including details about the first buildings on the farmstead, and history of the farmhouse as it changed over the years.
