Our visit Poznań travel guide documentary covers some of the top attractions including a food guide, top sightseeing tourist attractions and the city by day including visiting castles, churches and museums. 10 Things to do in Poznań, Poland Travel Guide script:
Eager to explore Poznan, our first stop of the day was the Old Market Square, which is a sight to behold. As soon as we turned the street from our apartment, we were greeted with the Old Town Hall.
The top attraction here is a row of buildings known as the Merchant Houses. They stand shoulder to shoulder and are painted in different patterns, adding a bright splash of colour to the town.
The Royal Castle dates back to 1249, though if you think it looks rather new, that’s because it was mostly destroyed during WW2 and it had to be rebuilt. After paying for our tickets, we made a beeline straight for the tower, to enjoy some views of Poznan.
After visiting the castle, we did some wandering around the Old Town and ended up at the Former Jesuit College. This is where young people were educated in theology and philosophy.
Today the college houses the City Council, so we couldn’t really tour the place, but they do have a nice courtyard and a cafe for visitors.
Another thing to do in Poznan is visit Fara Poznanska, a beautiful Baroque church located right next to the Former Jesuit College. We arrived just as they were setting up for the weekly concert, so we sat down for a bit of music.
From there, we walked west of the Old Town, where things have more of a modern look. We saw the Fontana Wolnosh-chi Wolności, had a quick peek inside the Imperial Castle, and we also discovered that Polish people have a big love for ice cream.
We later googled Kolorowa and discovered that it’s the best ice cream shop in Poznan, so maybe we should’ve stood in line!
After visiting Cathedral Island, we went past Śródka, which is a really cool neighbourhood with lots of street art. We then had a little break by Lake Malta, which looked to be a popular weekend spot.
Another cool thing to do in Poznan is to visit KontenerArt, which is part urban beach, outdoor bar, art space, children’s playground, food cart central, and herb and spice garden. This was an unexpected find and it was really nice to see people of all ages enjoying this space.
On a rainy afternoon, we paid a quick visit to Poznan’s Archaeological Museum. Admittedly, it’s mostly geared towards children, but it was a fun way to stay dry.
And that’s a wrap for our quick travel guide to Poznan! We hope this video gave you a few ideas of things to do around town on your visit. If there are any other things to do in Poznan that you think should be on this list, feel free to share those with fellow travellers. Happy travels and until next time!

Urban Drive: Poznan City Centre, City Tour! Poland
Enjoy this casual sunday morning drive in Poznan, Wielkopolska.
Poznań ([ˈpɔznaɲ] ( listen); German: Posen, known also by other historical names) is a city on the Warta river in west-central Poland, in the region called Wielkopolska (Greater Poland). It is best known for its renaissance old town, destroyed during World War II and then rebuilt, and Ostrów Tumski cathedral. After the second partition of Poland Poznań was administrated by Prussia, and then, with the unification of Germany after the Franco-Prussian War of 1871, the province of Posen became part of the German Empire. Furthermore, the city of Posen was officially named an imperial residence city, leading to the construction of the Imperial Castle, the Imperial District, the Opera House, new city walls, railway station and many other sites which make a big part of its landmarks to this day. Today, Poznań is an important cultural and business centre and one of Poland's most populous regions with many regional customs such as Jarmark Świętojański, traditional Saint Martin's croissants and a local dialect.
Poznań is among the oldest cities in Poland and was one of the most important centers in the early Polish state in the tenth and eleventh centuries. The first center city was Ostrów Tumski, the natural island on the Warta river-very similar to the Île de la Cité in Paris. The first rulers were buried in Poznań's cathedral on the island. It also served as the capital for a short time in the 13th century, hence the official name: The capital city of Poznan.
Poznań is one of the biggest cities in Poland. The city population is about 550,000, while the continuous conurbation with Poznan County and several other communities (Oborniki, Skoki, Szamotuły and Śrem)[1][2] is inhabited by almost 1.1 million people. The Larger Poznań Metropolitan Area (PMA) is inhabited by 1.3-1.4 million people and extends to such satellite towns as Nowy Tomyśl, Gniezno and Wrzesnia,[3][4][5][6] making it the fourth largest metropolitan area in Poland. It is the historical capital of the Wielkopolska (Greater Poland) region and is currently the administrative capital of the province called Greater Poland Voivodeship. Poznań is today one of the largest Polish centers of trade, industry, sports, education, technology, tourism and culture. It is particularly important academic center, with about 130,000 students and the third biggest Polish university - Adam Mickiewicz University. It is also the residence of the oldest Polish diocese, now being one of the most populous archdioceses in the country.

Poznan City Center Marketing Movie
For our client ECE, Schwitzke Graphics produced a Marketing Movie summing up the idea of the new concept for the Poznan City Center.
The Marketing Movie was a part of a package consisting of different Marketing tools to convey the whole Idea of the Mall to the ECE's customers.
If you plan a shopping mall that feels like an international fashion boulevard – what could be more obvious than creating a special fashion magazine to promote it?
For the new Poznan City Center that will be refurbished this year we developed and created a marketing package containing a brochure as well as a film.
The guiding principle: Come to Poznan and walk the streets of fashion!

Old Market Poznań, Poznań, Greater Poland, Poland, Europe
Poznań Old Town is a central neighbourhood of the city of Poznań in western Poland, covering the area of the walled medieval city of Poznań. It is called Stare Miasto in Polish (although that name may also refer to the wider administrative district of Stare Miasto, which to most of the city centre and northern parts of the city). The original settlement of Poznań was on the river island of Ostrów Tumski, and dates from at least the 9th century. The Old Town neighbourhood, however, corresponds to the city on the left bank of the Warta, to the west of Ostrów Tumski, which received its charter in 1253 (work on the Royal Castle, which would be at the western side of the ring of walls, began several years earlier). The city walls were taken down when the city expanded in the early 19th century, but the street layout of the Old Town still corresponds closely to that of the former walled city, with a grid of narrow streets. Surviving fragments of the walls, some of which have been further reconstructed, can be seen on ul. Stawna and ul. Masztalarska in the north, and next to Chopin Park in the south. The Old Town is centred on Stary Rynek, the Old Market Square. The historic Town Hall (Ratusz) stands in the middle of that square. At the western end of the Old Town is the hill (Góra Przemysła) on which the castle stood. The Old Market Square (Stary Rynek) is the large square on which the Old Town neighbourhood is centred. The sides of the square measure approximately 140 metres (460 ft). There is a group of buildings in the central part of the square, chief of which is the Old Town Hall (Ratusz). On each side of the square are tall rows of former tenement houses (kamienice), many of which are now used as restaurants, cafés and pubs (often with outdoor tables on the square itself). The square was originally laid out in around 1253, with each side divided into 16 equal plots, and many changes to architectural layout and style were made over the centuries. Major changes were made from 1550 onwards by Giovanni Battista di Quadro, who reconstructed the Town Hall and several other buildings in Renaissance style (severe damage had been done to the buildings by a fire of 1536). Most of the buildings in the square were reconstructed following heavy damage in the Battle of Poznań (1945). Most of the buildings in the square were reconstructed following heavy damage in the Battle of Poznań (1945). The central group of buildings includes:
The Old Town Hall (see separate article), standing in the northeast corner of the central building group (facing east). A row of merchants' houses (domki budnicze), dating from the 16th century, painted in a multicoloured design (1953-1961), with an arcade containing souvenir stalls, facing east. One of the houses (no. 17) displays the coat of arms -- a herring and three palms -- of the merchants' guild from which the houses take their name. The former town chancellery, adjoining the merchants' houses, facing south. The old town weighing house (Waga Miejska), behind the Town Hall, facing north. This was first built 1532-1534, reconstructed 1563, demolished as unsafe in 1890 (replaced by a Renaissance-style New Town Hall used by the city government, heavily damaged in 1945), rebuilt in its former style in 1950-1960 based on surviving prints, renovated in 2002, now used for weddings and other functions. The guardhouse (Odwach), facing west, originally an 18th-century wooden building, rebuilt in Classical style in 1783-1787, heavily damaged in 1945, rebuilt 1949-1951 and used as a museum. It now houses a museum dedicated to the Greater Poland Uprising (1918--1919). The Arsenał gallery, a postwar building (1959-1962), standing on the site of a former market building which was used as an arsenal from the 17th century, and was destroyed in 1945.
The Wielkopolska Military Museum, a modern building (1959--1962) standing on the site of a former cloth hall (sukiennice).

Berlin to Poznan (Poland) by train 柏林到波茲南 (波蘭)火車行
火車從柏林中央車站出發,到達德波邊境後,開始幾站停留較久,所以到了波蘭境內後,加速急馳前進,並且多次鳴笛
The train departs from Berlin Central Station and arrives at the border.. It has been a few stops for a long time, so after arriving in Poland, it speeds up and sprints, and whistle many times.
到達波蘭後,可看出車站月台的景觀有顯著的不同,尤其是座椅,變成木製的,看起來有些笨拙
After arriving in Poland, it can be seen that the landscape of the station platform is significantly different, especially the seat, which becomes wooden and looks awkward.
波茲南的中央車站,外觀非常現代而壯觀
Central Station in Poznan, the exterior is very modern and spectacular
