In Muotathal führt eine versteckt gelegene knapp 11 Kilometer lange Straße hinauf zum 1548 Meter hoch gelegenen Pragelpass. Matze lässt sich zurückfallen, um Nobbe und Fritze auf der schmalen Passstraße voranfahren zu lassen. Das atemberaubende Bergpanorama und prächtige Wetter machen Lust auf Mehr. Der sechste Teil unserer Reise durch die Schweiz führt uns ins Muotatal im Kanton Schwyz. Wir zeigen die Landschaft in der Gemeinde Muotathal und auf dem 1548 Meter über Meer gelegenen Pragelpass. Im Muotatal befindet sich mit dem Hölloch das zweitgrösste Höhlensystem Europas. Den Namen erhält das Tal durch den Fluss Muota, welcher im südlichen Bisistal entspringt und nach 29 Kilometer in Brunnen in der Gemeinde Ingenbohl in den Vierwaldstättersee mündet. Entlang der Muota befinden sich mehrere Wasserkraftwerke zur Stromgewinnung. Im zweiten Koalitionskrieg wagte sich der russische General Suworow ins Muotatal, wo es zu einer schlacht mit den Franzosen kam. Auf dem Rückweg flüchtete Suworow mit seinen Truppen über den Pragelpass nach Glarus. An den Schlichenden Brünnen in der Balm tritt Grundwasser direkt an die Erdöberfläche. Diese Quelle ist eine hydrologische Messstelle des Bundesamtes für Umwelt.

Here an impression from one of my very favorite spots in Switzerland. This is the Lake of Klöntal which is just beside the pretty wild Pragelpass.

Der Pragelpass ist ein Gebirgspass in der Schweiz, welcher das Muotatal im Kanton Schwyz mit dem Klöntal im Kanton Glarus verbindet.
Er liegt zwischen den Orten Muotathal und Riedern, die Passhöhe liegt auf 1'548 m ü. M., westlich davon der Drusberg (2'282 m ü. M.), östlich der Pragel (2'319 m ü. M.). Die Strasse verläuft mehrheitlich einspurig und steigt vor allem von Schwyz her stark an (bis 18 %), führt dann auf Glarner Seite am Klöntalersee vorbei. Die Strasse verläuft parallel zum Klausenpass.
Der Klöntalersee ist ein durch einen Bergsturz entstandener Natursee im Klöntal im Kanton Glarus in der Schweiz. Er liegt auf einer Höhe von 848 m ü. M. und hat eine Fläche von etwa 3.3 km². Seit 1908 wird er für die Gewinnung von Elektrizität genutzt.
Es handelt sich um den ältesten grösseren Speichersee der Schweiz. Der Klöntalersee ist bekannt für seine oft spiegelglatte Wasseroberfläche, in der sich die umliegenden Berge spiegeln. Viele halten ihn für einen der schönsten Seen der Schweiz.

I had another great time hiking with my friends in Switzerland and this time it was not too long and high :) and it was good for me since i still had to play for a badminton tournament the next day.
I must say that Switzerland is really a wonderful place for hiking, camping and etc. Anyways, here's a short clip of our short tour, enjoy my friends.

Lake Schwendisee Toggenburg, St. Gallen SWITZERLAND 山
Schwendisee is a small lake above Wildhaus and Unterwasser on the slopes of the Churfirsten, in Toggenburg, Canton of St. Gallen,The border between the two municipalities runs right through the lakes.
The two Schwendiseen between Gamser- and Chäserrugg located in a sheltered flat moorland of national importance. When the Schwendi glacier about 14,000 years ago melted down, he left the lakes.
You can take a bath in the lake. There is a dock and a raft. The smaller rear Schwendisee is separated from the main lake by a forest strip. Both lakes are surrounded by a dense marsh and reed belt. They are fed by a respective nameless creek. In the lake live tench, perch, pike and leeches. Fishing is allowed for a fee.
Around the lake is a promenade. North of the lake Schwendisee is the Hotel Seegüetli.

(From blog: suisu-ni-oide.ch) 両親と旦那と一緒にムオタタールからプラーゲル峠に4時間・1,009メートル上がり・印象的な石の厚板道・花畑のような牧草地、リッヒサウまで1時間半・567メートル下がりのツアーに行っきた。とても美しいコースだ。
Starting out from the bus stop Hölloch (yes, translates as hell hole, since the entry point to a more than 200 km long cave system is nearby) in Muotathal, we walked over rock slab paths, through forests and flower drunk meadows up to the Pragel Pass, then down to Richisau. Super beautiful tour!

The entrance to the new pedestrian suspension bridge Skywalk is located on the Mostelberg directly at the mountain station.

The Klöntalersee is incurred by a landslide in Klöntal natural lake in the canton of Glarus in Switzerland. It lies at an altitude of 848 m above sea level. The Klöntalersee is known for its often mirror-like surface in which reflects the surrounding mountains.
The Walensee is one of the larger lakes in Switzerland.
The lake provided the inspiration for a solo piano piece by composer Franz Liszt, called Au lac de Wallenstadt. The piece is part of a collection of solo piano works inspired by the composer's travels in 1830s Switzerland.

HUMMER H2 ON PRAGELPASS IN SWITZERLAND, really you have maybe 10 to 20 left to each side. Pragelpass is about 18km in- and decreasing steepness of 18% but it is now Hummer H2 approved but still critical and closed for cars on saturdays and sundays.
