August 22nd, 2019 - an evening to remember! The PaTRAM Institute Male Choir performed their repertoire in concert at the Saratov Conservatory. The singers hail from Russia, Serbia, North America, and Australia. GRAMMY-nominated Maestro Vladimir Gorbik conducted the choir, which included an unprecedented ten octavists, with baritone Michail Davydov as the featured soloist. Bishop Nicholas, carrying the Kursk Root Icon and accompanied by Metropolitan Longin, led the procession into the standing room only auditorium. The Hierarchs then watched with the over-1000 person audience as the Choir gave a riveting performance culminating with an encore and 5+ minute standing ovation.

В попытке улучшить обучение церковных музыкантов, представители большинства основных музыкальных программ и семинарий РПЦЗ и ПЦА, собравшись вместе в конце 2013 года, создали Русско-Американский музыкальный институт им. Патриарха Тихона (ПаТРАМ). Работу новообразованного института благословили Предстоятели Православной Церкви в Америке и Русской Зарубежной Церкви. Работа института основывается на тех наработках, которые были сделаны педагогами-музыкантами в прошлом, а сегодня он старается обеспечить эту преемственность путем своих передовых обучающих программ на каждом уровне церковно-музыкального развития как на английском, так и на церковнославянском языках.
В сотрудничестве с пресс-службой Восточно-Американской епархии (РПЦЗ) ПаТРАМ выпустил документальный фильм о работе и целях института. 25-минутный фильм под названием Единство музыкального профессионализма и молитвы представляет обзор важной роли музыки в жизни Православной Церкви и объясняет, как ПаТРАМ приступает к работе, которая, возможно, сможет коренным образом перевернуть привычное представление о том, как, используя современные технологии, православные регенты и певцы смогут получать музыкальное образование в Северной Америке.
