Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
Nearly two years after the London 2012 Olympic Games, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park has reopened to the public. It has had a bit of a makeover, but for the traditionalists among you there are still plenty of memorable sights to see. Video maker Geoff Marshall popped along to see what highlights, both old and new, can be found.

WALKING AROUND THE PARK
Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park flythrough
Take a look at how the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park will look once it is developed after the Games with this new CGI flythrough (March 2012).
The ArcelorMittal Orbit, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London, England - 15th June, 2014
The ArcelorMittal Orbit is a 114.5 metre (376 feet) tall sculpture and observation tower in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, London. It is Britain's largest piece of public art, and is intended to be a permanent lasting legacy of London's hosting of the 2012 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games, assisting in the post-Olympics regeneration of the Stratford area. Sited between the Olympic Stadium and the Aquatics Centre, it allows visitors to view the whole Olympic Park from two observation platforms.
Orbit was designed by Turner-Prize winning artist Sir Anish Kapoor and Cecil Balmond of engineering Group Arup.
This film features views of the structure from ground level, as well as the lift ride up the structure, views from the structure over the Olympic Park, Stratford and London, and views within the observation pods, where two £1million concave mirrors are located that give some interesting visual effects.
The film ends with the lift ride down the Orbit to ground level. This is an excellent visitor attraction, and well worth a visit.

UK's Tallest Sculpture at Queen Elizabeth II Olympic Park in London
ArcelorMittal Orbit, located at the newly-renamed Queen Elizabeth II Olympic Park in Stratford, east London, is Britain's tallest sculpture at 114.5 meters. The Filipino Web Channel revisited the area on Thursday, May 8, 2014, nearly two years after the 2012 Summer Olympics, and found many changes in the huge park. Here's a part of the news video coverage.
Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park
The London Olympic and Paralympic Games was a ‘mega project’ that involved around 80,000 people just on the construction alone. The project transformed Stratford (a run-down area of east London) into a 2.5 km2 Olympic Park with facilities that include an athletics stadium, an aquatics centre, a velodrome and a BMX track.
London beat Madrid, New York, Moscow and favourites Paris in 2005 to win the games. The next 7 years saw a building and regeneration programme involving everything from central government departments and local councils to UK Sport and Sport England.

- If I have something extra to post it usually appears at some random time :) I also livestream sometimes in the evenings and weekends if I have the time and if the software actually works...
