Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Heritage Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan. This is a GREAT place to learn the important history of the RCMP, and watch new cadets perform marching drills.
15. Spending an afternoon out at the Sunset-Retreat Ceremony
Norma and Marilyn met with Constable Chernoff to get all of the details on Regina's Sunset-Retreat Ceremony where RCMP cadets in period dress perform traditional military movements that played an important part in Canada's history.
The ladies enjoyed marching band music, historic rifle and cannon exercises, dismounted cavalry drill and the lowering of the Canadian flag.
