ABQ TRUE | The Rail Yards Market in Albuquerque, New Mexico
ABQ True visited The Rail Yards Market on Sunday. The Rail Yards Market is located just South of Downtown, in the Barelas, neighborhood in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Take a step back into history as you walk through the front doors and image what it must have been like to work in this huge Santa Fe Rail Yards maintenance shop.

NM True TV - Rail Yards Market
The question in the old Albuquerque railyards isn't what can you buy, but rather what can't you find. Every summer Sunday the massive, largely abandoned shops come alive with commerce. Art, produce, live music, and plenty of people combine to add bustle back to these buildings. Even if you don't buy anything you can enjoy the experience and marvel at the architecture from an era that helped shape our state.

Rail Yards Market Albuquerque--Making An International Destination
This presentation was prepared to highlight the potential of making the Rail Yards Market in Albuquerque an international destination and tourist attraction for the City and State of New Mexico to help stimulate the local economy and support the growth of the local talent. We need to aim for a year round market with a regular, predictable schedule and to welcome the creative people who are willing to donate physical and intellectual resources.
There are many reasons to continue to support the growth of the Rail Yards Market. This is just one of them.

This week’s Line opinion panelists join host Gene Grant to discuss the pros and cons of rehabilitating the rail yard property.

Albuquerque Rail Yard Wheels Museum 2011 Gala Event
The Wheels Museum, Inc. was founded 17 years ago by a group of concerned citizens whose vision and dedication to restoring and preserving the Albuquerque Rail Yard site.
These magnificent industrial structures of more than 350,000 square feet located on 27 acres of land, are the reason Albuquerque became a city. Established in 1880, this site was a centerpiece of the city and can again become a major attraction for history, culture and tourism.
In November of 2007, the 27.3 acre site was purchased by the City of Albuquerque at a cost of $8.5 million. The Wheels Museum contributed $2.5 million toward the purchase price. The Rail Yard Advisory Committee, whose 18 members include representatives of the Wheels Museum, city and state governments, and the surrounding neighborhoods, is ultimately responsible for selections and developers and uses of the site. Wheels is a partner in the master planning and all decisions regarding the future development of the site.
Railyard Ritual Downtown Santa Fe way
My dance with the city / community of santa fe new mexico on a particular day through a song my good friend created synchronistically that really resonated with me inner voice.
This is not neccesarily what it appears to be and also is much much more than it appears to denote via the alignments.
