Colorado 2013 - Rapid Transit Rafting Trip
8/21/13
We went for an awesome trip with Rapid Transit Rafting in Colorado. This was the 2nd to last day of the 2013 rafting season, so the water was almost too shallow to make it down the river. Overall an AWESOME trip with some great river guides.

America's beautiful Rocky Mountains - Part 1 of Denver Trip
We are bringing you a video on our trip to Denver-Rocky Mountains. This video contains 1.5/3 days of our trip. Our itinerary looked like this:
Stay at Estes Park, CO
Day 1: Beautiful off-road (not scary when compared to previous experience at Utah) on Old Fall River Road to Chasm Falls, then taking Trail Ridge Road to do River Rafting with Rapid Transit Rafting. Great people and this is our first time doing River Rafting. We had dinner at a place called Thai Kitchen @Estes Park and that was terrible. So do not recommend food from there.
Day 2 (half): All day Trail Ridge Road to Alpine Visitor Center. We did a small hike called Alpine Ridge Trail, at the top has amazing view of Rocky Mountains. This day we blend with the mountains and enjoyed the twisties, we wish we had our motorcycle! On the way back we saw wild life at the Rockies. Wild horses, Yellow bellied Marmots and Big Horn Sheeps. We got some snaps on the video but not so clear.
So this is Part 1, enjoy the views! Part 2 will have Estes Park Downtown (small town with nice people), Denver Downtown and Garden of the Gods..
About us: We are Malayalees (born state of Kerala, India with mother tongue as Malayalam) and trying to share things we learn living in USA. Mountain Whitewater Descents - Fort Collins, Colorado
In 1993, Brad Modesitt and his brother Kent canoed down the Poudre, Platte, Missouri, and Mississippi Rivers to end up 2400 miles later in New Orleans. This experience left both of them with a deep respect for our nation's rivers. Kent started law school and is now an attorney in Denver. Brad continued his journey and the traveling lifestyle bicycling 10,000 miles and sailing 3000 miles to southern Chile. When he returned a friend told him he should become a rafting guide. It was good advice. Brad still guides rafts down the river he loves enjoying the people, the scenery, and of course the rapids.
river rafting in Colorado
During his travels Brad learned what travelers need and want. A fun trip with experienced and entertaining guides. Professionalism means everything in every aspect of a business. A job should be fun. Work is only a four-letter word if you make it that way. Lead by example. Follow with respect and the desire to learn. Life is fun enjoy it everyday.
Brad now runs the business with his wife Lindsey and the big bosses, 31-month-old Ella and 2-month-old Chase. They love their jobs, lives, each other and the chance to show others how special the Cache La Poudre River is and why it is Colorado's only Wild and Scenic River
OUR GUIDES MAKE THE DIFFERENCE!
While the river is a vital part of your river trip, your guide makes the experience even more outstanding. We have some of the most experienced whitewater guides on the Poudre. Many started on this river and have since guided a wide array of other rivers. Most of our guides are college graduates with degrees like: Wildlife Biology, Natural Resource Management, and Forest Ecology, Recreation and Tourism. During the winter some are ski patrollers and teachers, some head to Central America to guide on rivers there. Each year we tap into the resources of the Colorado State University (CSU) and hold classes with our guides to further educate them on birds, wildlife, plants, and the rich history of the region.

One of the most action packed whitewater adventures in the state!
Experienced rafters and excitement seekers will want this particular river adventure. It has all the scenery of the Poudre Splash, but adds big class IV rapids that will make your heart pound and bring a huge smile to your face. We visited Estes Park. it seemed like a cool spot and a lot of people talked it up, but I didn't think it was all that great. if you plan on visiting Rocky Mountain National Park Colorado, I highly recommend Bear Lake, and Trail Ridge Rd.
Rocky Mountain National Park has a tremendous amount of things to see, there are a lot of trails to hike. keep your eyes peeled, because there is an abundance of wildlife
I highly recommend visiting Nederland, located right out side of the rocky mountain national park Colorado, its only about 20 minutes form Boulder Colorado, just right outside of the Rockies. Its a very neat little place!!!
