Located in the beautiful, historic old town of Hoi An on Vietnam’s central coast, Reaching Out Arts & Crafts Shop is very different than other gift shops in this UNESCO World Heritage city because they are a social enterprise who aims to help persons with disability become integrated into society and live productive lives.
The artisans who craft their authentic Vietnamese products are all persons with disability. You can easily stop by here after your refreshing drink at Reaching Out Teahouse
The profits earned on their sales are returned to the business to develop job training and employment for other persons with disability. They are thus enabled to work in our shop or elsewhere in Vietnam. They adhere strictly to fair trade principles, thus ensuring that their employees and suppliers are equitably compensated.
Reaching Out Vietnam was established in 2000 with the vision of providing opportunities for people of disability to learn skills and gain meaningful employment so that they are able to integrate fully with their communities and lead independent and fulfilling lives.
By the way, their name in Vietnamese, Hoa Nhap, means integration.

CREATICITY I Reaching Out (Hòa Nhập)
Reaching Out is a fair trade gift shop and cafe showcasing high quality handicrafts made by disabled craftspeople in Vietnam.
Hòa Nhập (Reaching Out) in Vietnamese means Integration. The enterprise was established in the year 2000 by a group of other-abled people led by Le Nguyen Binh, who is wheelchair user. This social business, operating according to Fair Trade principles is found in beautiful Hoi An, a World Heritage site on the Central Coast of Vietnam. The retail shop is in one of the ancient buildings in the center of the old town, where exquisite crafts made by other artisans are showcased, either on-site in our workshop or perhaps in their homes or other workshops across many provinces of Vietnam.

Enjoy the beauty of silence in our tea house, a tranquil oasis in the center of bustling Hoi An. Delicious coffee, tea, fruit juices and biscuits are served in the charming atmosphere of an ancient, tastefully decorated house in the heart of the town.
The grace and charm of their Deaf staff at Reaching Out Teahouse will warm your heart! There are few distractions from the flavors and aromas of their locally grown products. You will feel embraced by the traditional Vietnamese tea service!
Truth to be told, my father, grandpa and I were blown away by their warm approach and excellent communication skills!
Not only that, you can easily pop by the Reaching Out Arts & Crafts Shop after your refreshing drink! Their products are 100% handmade by their Deaf staff (both men and women). More on this will be shared in a video soon!

Da Nang and Hoi An Travel Guide in Vietnam!!!
Thành Phố Hội An
Wondering what to do in Da Nang and Hoi An , Vietnam? How to get around and enjoy the best viewpoints, sites, hotspots, and secrets there? You have found the right video!!!
After our visit to Da Nang; a clean, modern, and laid-back city, bordered by a long white sand beach called My Khe. The beach front is lined with top-notch resorts, restaurants, and quirky shops; the city night filled with lights and beaming with life, and even just outside the city, amazing nature and serene views we have selected some of our favorite places for you to explore. So without further ado:
1. Marble mountains. Just south of Da Nang and accessed by two cylindrical glass elevators lies a natural masterpiece. Marble and limestone rock formations bulge out of the ground and reach for the skies. Atop this natural marvel is a pilgrimage site for Buddhists, with temples, pagodas, and sacred caves. Having 3 distinct peaks, serve as amazing viewpoints of the mountains to the south and the city of Da Nang to the North as well as breathtaking views of My Khe Beach to the East.
2. Dragon Bridge One of the most unique bridges in Da Nang and the whole of Vietnam. It is constructed in the shape of a dragon and a shining display of lights during the night makes your visit worthwhile.
3. Son Tra Mountain. Largely covered with thick forest, Son Tra Peninsula is full of Beaches and spectacular views. Sightseeing, nature walks, wildlife sightings, eating and drinking in Vietnamese style are on the top of the list.
4. Lady Buddha and Linh Ung Pagoda. Being the tallest Buddha statue in Vietnam at an astounding 194 feet, Lady Buddha is located near Linh Ung Pagoda on the Son Tra Peninsula in Da Nang, a short 5 miles away from My Khe beach, or 9 miles from Da Nang city center.
5. Beaches. The best beaches in Da Nang are known for their clean waters and sands. The more popular ones, such as My Khe and Non Nuoc are relatively close to the city centre. Less than 10 minutes away by car, they’re often packed with locals during weekends and public holidays. You can also find plenty of local restaurants serving fresh seafood and Da Nang specialities at affordable prices. Lounges and beach chairs are available for rent for about VND 40,000 per day ($1.74 USD).
Hoi An has quickly become one of the most loved tourist sight in the country. This place doesn't have any airport or any railway network and the only way to reach it is by taxi, motorbike, or the public (Yellow) bus. However, this is one of the most beautiful as well as the most pleasant locations you will ever find. Here’s our top 6 things to do in Hoi An:
1. Walk around Hoi An Old town
2. Explore the central market in the heart of the city and go SHOPPING!!!
3. Visit the Japanese Covered Bridge
4. Try the mysterious street food
5. Visit the many historical temples
6. Walk around at night and enjoy colorful lantern
Catch a ride on one of the many river gondolas
Discover the amazing artwork including photography, painting and handmade crafts in the artist district
