Yangon's Rangoon Tea House / ရန်ကုန်တီးဟောက်စ်
Previously situated on the first floor, Yangon's Rangoon Tea House / ရန်ကုန်တီးဟောက်စ် serves traditional Burmese cuisine, locally inspired cocktails, and curries and biryanis. All the usual teahouse snacks are available – tea-leaf salads, samosas, paratha (Indian-style bread) and bao – but in bigger portions (hence the higher prices).

Myanmar 2013: Preserving Yangon
TheNewYorkTimes: Myanmar's former capital is home to a large number of British colonial buildings, many of which are in danger of being destroyed amid gentrification as the isolated country opens up to the world.

#travelwithfulliman - Myanmar 2017 Series 1.2 | Yangon
30 August 2017 - Yangon, Myanmar
Series #5
Our very first travel series at some of the most intriguing places in Myanmar. We spent 6 days in 3 different parts of the country in order: Mandalay, Bagan & Yangon.
Yangon’s Rangoon Tea House is every bit as hipster as it looks. We ordered 2 of their best seller desserts and some of us were hooked onto their unique Burmese coffee!
Myanmar people are often seen wearing traditional longyi. Which we tried, it’s definitely comfy and ‘airy’. You can get em’ at Bogyoke Market!
If you’re a foodie, don’t forget to dig in their famous Shan Noodle. We tried ours at 999 Shan Noodle in Yangon with Tripadvisors recommendation and it was gooooddd.

Buying a train ticket in Yangon is a fun experience. I did it once before and bought a ticket for a sleeper car on a train from Yangon to Bagan in the north. That train ride was so interesting that I wanted to ride on some more trains. And I thought I would start with a train from Yangon to the town of Mawlamyine in the south. With a big festival on the horizon, there was a time crunch, and I went to the train station to buy a ticket a couple of days in advance. How did things turn out? Well, let's just say it was a bit of a ticket treasure hunt.
Cheers,

Rangoon Tea House (Slideshow 2016) / ရန်ကုန်တီးဟောက်စ် (Yangon / ရန်ကုန်)
The Rangoon Tea House / ရန်ကုန်တီးဟောက်စ် is a stylishly designed hipster teahouse is as popular with locals as it is with travellers. It serves traditional Burmese cuisine, locally inspired cocktails, and curries and biryanis. All the usual teahouse snacks are available – tea-leaf salads, samosas, paratha (Indian-style bread) and bao – but in bigger portions (hence the higher prices). And they're less oily than you'll get elsewhere.

It was very difficult to capture in just 3 minutes the kindness of the people, the beautiful landscapes and the timeless charm of Myanmar. Hopefully our video will motivate you to explore and visit this magical country!

Burma Bistro - Heritage Drinking & Dining in the Heart of Yangon
I didn't have anything to eat or drink at the Burma Bistro. So this isn't a video review. And that's a good thing, because I'm not a qualified food/restaurant reviewer in any way. I just happened to spot the Burma Bistro on a number of my walks around Yangon, and on this particular day, I decided to pop in and take a look around.
I had my GoPro with me, so I took some video of my tour of the Burma Bistro. Call this a quick overview of the decor, design, and menu of the restaurant. I came away with positive feelings about the place. I liked it. And the prices were not nearly as high as I was expecting.
Enjoy. ????
