The story of John Horse and the Black Seminoles has been largely untold, but they deserve to be remembered for a number of reasons:
- They created the largest haven in the U.S. South for runaway slaves.
- They led the largest slave revolt in U.S. history.
- They secured the only emancipation of rebellious slaves prior to the U.S. Civil War.
- The formed the largest mass exodus of slaves across the United States and, ultimately, to Mexico.
Learn more about this remarkable story that has been overlooked by Hollywood, popular culture, and even historians. This group of freedom fighters—who ultimately found peace, liberty, and prosperity—is worth remembering.

Robert Downey Jr. electrifies one of literature’s most enduring characters in a vivid reimagining of the classic tale of the man who could talk to animals: Dolittle.
After losing his wife seven years earlier, the eccentric Dr. John Dolittle (Downey), famed doctor and veterinarian of Queen Victoria’s England, hermits himself away behind the high walls of Dolittle Manor with only his menagerie of exotic animals for company.
But when the young queen (Jessie Buckley, Wild Rose) falls gravely ill, a reluctant Dolittle is forced to set sail on an epic adventure to a mythical island in search of a cure, regaining his wit and courage as he crosses old adversaries and discovers wondrous creatures.
The doctor is joined on his quest by a young, self-appointed apprentice (Dunkirk’s Harry Collett) and a raucous coterie of animal friends, including an anxious gorilla (Oscar® winner Rami Malek), an enthusiastic but bird-brained duck (Oscar® winner Octavia Spencer), a bickering duo of a cynical ostrich (The Big Sick*’s Kumail Nanjiani) and an upbeat polar bear (John Cena, *Bumblebee) and a headstrong parrot (Oscar® winner Emma Thompson), who serves as Dolittle’s most trusted advisor and confidante.
The film also stars Antonio Banderas, Michael Sheen (The Queen) and Oscar® winner Jim Broadbent and features additional voice performances from Oscar® winner Marion Cotillard, Frances de la Tour, Carmen Ejogo, Ralph Fiennes, Selena Gomez, Tom Holland, and Craig Robinson.
Directed by Academy Award® winner Stephen Gaghan (Syriana, Traffic), Dolittle is produced by Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum under their Roth/Kirschenbaum Films (Alice in Wonderland, Maleficent) and Susan Downey (Sherlock Holmes franchise, The Judge) for Team Downey. The film is executive produced by Robert Downey Jr., Sarah Bradshaw (The Mummy, Maleficent) and Zachary Roth (Maleficent: Mistress of Evil).

Surviving Columbus (Parts 1 and 2)
Late one afternoon in May 1539, the world of the Pueblo Indians changed forever when Estebanico - a Black slave from Morocco - and his 300 retinue of Mexican Indians marched into the Zuni city of Hawikuh. Through wild tales and exaggerations, Hawikuh would be transformed into one of the fabled Seven Golden Cities of Cibola, and a year later, Coronado and his soldiers would wreak destruction and violence on this peaceful world in search of non existent gold. Surviving Columbus is a search for the Pueblo people's view of these first encounters with European civilization, told exclusively through the voices and visions of the Pueblo Indians.

The team overtakes the Duergar Queen, before Ulara is able to make a thrall of Grog. After slaying her underlings, and momentarily banishing her to another dimension, Vox Machina presses her for information about K’Varn. It is in that instant that K’varn speaks to them, through the lips of the Duergar queen.
His evil palpably radiating from the queen, K’varn urges Vox Machina to find him, in the city of Yug’voril. His message delivered, the Duergar falls still, her life departed.
To the surprise of the weary group, Keylith again voices her growing doubts about the path they all walk, but after some assuaging words from Vax’ildan, the group makes camp in order to rest their tired bones.
Later, they proceed on, finding a vast island in yet another massive underground cavern. Clarota informs them that this is where the city of Yug’voril stands. The party finds a ruined boat beneath the surface of the subterranean lake, and after Tiberius raises it and Percy patches it up, they take to the water. Pausing at a craggy beach as they make their way on to K’Varn, the party perhaps goes looking for trouble and does indeed find it.

American Crayon Factory: Abandoned and now gone
American Crayon Factory: Abandoned and now gone. The Abandoned Red Crayon Factory (THIS IS NOT THE REAL NAME.
The Factory operated in the city of Sandusky Ohio . In 1860, the Company had made the first tailor’s chalk, the first carpenter’s chalk, and in 1878 created the first railroad chalk. Originally, the company was the J.S. Cowdery Manufacturers. This n company changed its name to Western School Supply in 1884. In 1890, the XXXXXXXX based Western School Supply Company merged with a company called Tiffin Crayon Company and also Parameter Crayon Company located in Waltham. Later the name became The Abandoned Red Crayon Factory. On October 4, 1901, a fire destroyed the company’s original XXXXXX plant. After the fire, a larger plant was build on Hayes Avenue south of the New York Central Railroad tracks. This plant was opened in September 1902. World War I slowed down commercial trade between many nations including the United States and Germany. Prang Educational Company who alos manufactured chemiclas, andThe Abandoned Red Crayon Factory merged 1913. The combined companies organized their own small independent watercolor factory in XXXXX called Korma Color Company. The Abandoned Red Crayon Factory manufactured many types color crayons, cooler chalks, school blackboards, erasers, different watercolors, pencils, paste, cleaners, and even some industrial items, such as chalk for tailors, carpenters, textile mills, and railroads. The growing success and popularity of The Abandoned Red Crayon Factory led to its prosperous operation at the original Sandusky plant through the 1920s to the 1950s. In January 1957, The Abandoned Red Crayon Factory became part of Joseph Dixon Crucible Company. This company was based in Jersey City, in the state of New Jersey. In the later years labor and plant operations were outsourced to Canada and Mexico. This was partially due to NFTA, North American Free Trade Agreement. Your can thank our “ I did not have sexual relations nor did I ever inhale lying President Bill Clinton for signed off on the North American Free Trade Agreement and the General Agreement on Trade & Tariffs in 1993, otherwise known as NAFTA/GATT. By doing this, he slashed the economic throat of the United States. We've been hemorrhaging jobs to foreign nations like Communist China ever since. Until 1993, the United States of America was the world's economic leader, and Americans enjoyed the highest standard of living in the world. But NAFTA/GATT changed all that by removing the trade protections that ensured these great living standards. The labor costs in China, Indonesia and similar nations were substantially lower than what U.S. workers earned because they had 10 year old children slaves working. NAFTA/GATT allowed our corporations and U.S. entrepreneurs to move their manufacturing, production, and technology overseas and then they would avoid all U.S. payroll taxes, worker's compensation costs and environmental regulations and not have to worry about city building codes. They did not have to deal with unions nor did they have to provide employee benefits such as but not limited to health insurance or retirement. Now we know what happened to AMERICA. NAFTA destroyed American manufacturing, and this is one the main reasons why Marko and Jhone Production s exist. We have thousands of abandoned building to explore. Thank you US government and NAFTA. Never trust your government, they lie to you. Eventually, all the operations were progressively moved out of the original XXXXXX plant, and it closed its doors in 2002 after 167 years of service in XXXXXX Clearance Schwerer my wife grandfather worked for The Abandoned Red Crayon Factory for 30 years. He was the one who invented the sawdust filled chalk packaging. The caulk would always crack in the old method of packaging should. Clearance e Schwerer being a loyal factory worker never got any additional recognition or moneys for his invention. At this time, relatives of pastT he Abandoned Red Crayon Factory workers are demolishing and relying the plant. They are slowly taking it apart piece by piece and giving this parts and pieces new homes. The buildings had evident of some termite damage, howereve, the damage was minimal due to the century year old building timbers being very hard wood that came from 100 year old trees.

During the height of the Fur Trade, Bent's Fort established itself as one of the most important trading posts in the West - an area which remained largely unexplored by the then -young-and-growing United States. Located along the Arkansas River, Bent's Fort lay only a few yards from what was then Mexico. As the only major permanent settlement along the Santa Fe Trail, it served as a hub of commercial and cultural exchange for Cheyenne and Arapahoe Plains Indians and American trappers, and a stopping point for the US Army, explorers and settlers. Bent's Fort's prominence was short-lived, however; a cholera epidemic devastated the Indian population and caused founder William Bent to abandon the fort in 1849. Salvaging what they could and burning the remainder, Bent's New Fort was built in 1852 in Big Timbers. This episode of Colorado Experience takes you to the original site of Bent's Old Fort, now a National Historic Landmark, where state historians recreate what it was like to visit this Castle on the Plains. I Love New York - TV Tourism Commercial 2 - TV Advert - TV Spot - The Travel Channel - USA - 1984
New York City is an enormous city. Each of its five boroughs is the equivalent of a large city in its own right and may itself be divided into districts. These borough and district articles contain sightseeing, restaurant, nightlife and accommodation listings — consider printing them all.
New York City (also referred to as New York, NYC, The Big Apple, or just The City by locals), is the most populous city in the United States. It lies at the mouth of the Hudson River in the southernmost part of the state, which is part of the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. The city spans a land area of 305 square miles (790 km²).
New York City has a population of approximately 8.2 million people.
The New York Metropolitan Area, which spans lower New York, northern New Jersey, and southwestern Connecticut, has a population of 18.7 million, making it the largest metropolitan area in the U.S. As of 2007, it was 5th largest in the world, after Tokyo, São Paulo, Mexico City and Seoul.
New York City is a center for media, culture, food, fashion, art, research, finance, and trade. It has one of the largest and most famous skylines on earth, dominated by the iconic Empire State Building.
Boroughs
New York City consists of five boroughs, which are five separate counties. Each borough has a unique culture and could be a large city in its own right. Within each borough individual neighborhoods, some several square miles in size, and others only a few blocks in size, have personalities lauded in music and film. Where you live, work, and play in New York says something to New Yorkers about who you are. The five New York boroughs are:
Manhattan (New York County)
The famous island between the Hudson and East Rivers, with many diverse and unique neighborhoods. Manhattan is home to the Empire State Building in Midtown, Central Park, Times Square, Wall Street, Harlem, and the trendy neighborhoods of Greenwich Village and SoHo.
Brooklyn (Kings County)
The most populous borough, and formerly a separate city. Located south and east of Manhattan across the East River. Known for artists, music venues, beaches, and Coney Island.
Queens (Queens County)
U-shaped and located to the east of Manhattan, across the East River, and north, east, and south of Brooklyn. Queens is the home of the city's two major airports, the New York Mets professional baseball team, the United States Open Tennis Center, and New York City's second-largest Chinatown (in Flushing). With over 170 languages spoken, Queens is the most ethnically diverse region in the United States, and one of the most diverse in the world.
The Bronx (Bronx County)
Located north of Manhattan Island, the Bronx is home to the Bronx Zoo, the New York Botanical Gardens, and the New York Yankees professional baseball team.
Staten Island (Richmond County)
A large island in New York Harbor, south of Manhattan and just across the narrow Kill Van Kull from New Jersey. Unlike the rest of New York City, Staten Island has a suburban character.
