The Haunted Walk Of Reykjavík, Iceland, 24/5/09
Just a brief bit from Reykjavík's brilliant ghost walk. Having been on many, I can safely say this is one of the best ones I've done. Recommended if you go to Iceland!
Haunted Iceland - Reykjavik's darkest ghost stories
Iceland is full of myths and legends, but most are just old stories. I've researched some of Reykjavik's best ghost stories that you can visit too on your travels.

Reykjavik Folklore Walking Tour - Meet the Elves, Trolls & Ghosts of Iceland
Iceland is sometimes called the land of the Sagas and on this folklore walk, you get the chance to hear many interesting sagas involving the hidden people and creatures of Iceland
We will tell you all about the Icelandic Elves, Trolls, Ghosts like the Deacon of the dark river, the unique mostly aquatic monsters, the 13 Santa’s (it’s not enough to have just one Santa Claus in Iceland after all ;)), their mother the child eating troll called Grýla and finally the only known serial killer of Iceland in a land where it’s easy to get lost in the lava fields.
In the long winter nights in Iceland storytelling has been the primary entertainment for people so there are reasons why Icelanders love books and have the highest literacy rate in the world. 1 in 10 Icelanders writes a book in his lifetime so we obviously love to tell stories and you sure won’t be disappointed by joining our walk and hearing a couple
J.R.R. Tolkien was heavily influenced by Norse mythology and the Icelandic Sagas when he wrote The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit so we will explain some of the fun similarities between our worlds
This tour runs every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday at 20 (8 pm) in the summertime and is perfect for those who want a little adventure in their life because the story’s come alive on our walk.

Haunted History, in Blönduós, Iceland.
If these walls could talk, they might sound like sirens of the sea.
The former women's school, Kvennaskólinn, is a local treasure to the textiles industry and history of northern Iceland.
The school is now a museum located in Blönduós (north west Iceland). Aðalbjörg, the former head mistress of the school channels the past, taking us through Minjastófa Kvennaskólinns (the exhibition of the former women's school).
The Kvennaskólinn building also hosts a Textiles Artist Residency (Textílsetur) that merges old fashioned rural charm with new contemporary textile arts.
With warm thanks to Aðalbjörg Ingvarsdóttir.

Mystery Icelandic fishing boat from Reykjavik
The ship has been taken out of service because it is haunted! Strange things happened on board. Noises, doors slamming shut. But was it necessary to take it out of service? No! Because something totally different was going on. The Ghosthunter went to investigate and solved the mysterious riddle. Because there was indeed some one on board and if they knew who it was than the boat would still be sailing on the Atlantic ocean.
But then who is it?...............................
So it can be that if you do not understand something, a lot can depend upon it!
Or you made a big mistake.
