Ride The Ducks in Branson!
On June 17, 2010, my husband and I enjoyed the 90 minute tour Ride the Duck in Branson, Missouri. The DUKW is a World War Two flatbed military vehicle with the ability to go on land or water. It was converted into a tour ride by installing bus seats. The tour guide was a comedian and driver as well. Before the ride, we were given duck whistles which we blew whenever we saw another Ride the Duck tour bus. We were shown the city where there are many showplaces, amusements parks, businesses, restaurants, and motels. We saw the countryside and went up into the hills on a tiny one lane road where we looked at vintage military equipment: some with actual bullet holes.
Next, the bus retracted its wheels and went into the lake where the driver gave up his seat to children who wanted to drive the DUKW, while he took memorabilia pictures for their parents.
