The 13 World's Strangest And Funniest Buildings!
Puzzling World, Wanaka, New Zeland. Stuart Landsborough's Puzzling World is a tourist attraction near Wanaka, New Zealand. It started out as just a single level maze in 1973, but over the years expanded to add overbridges to the maze design (thus creating the world's first 3-D maze), a large puzzling café where guests could try out several puzzles, five large rooms of optical illusions, the Leaning Tower of Wanaka (which has a backwards clock that was started on the eve of the new millennium) and other attractions (such as the Roman Bathrooms) that ascribe to their theme of puzzling eccentricity.
Upside Down House, Gettorf, Germany. This upside down house was built in March 2010 for a local zoo in Gettorf, Germany.
Cybertecture Egg, Mumbai, India. A new form of architecture, commissioned by Vijay Associates (Wadhwa Developers) and designed by James Law Cybertecture International and Ove Arup, is typified by new intangible materials of technology, multimedia, intelligence and interactivity to create an awe-inspiring landmark for the city of Mumbai and for India in the 21st Century.
The Teapot Dome, Zillah, USA. The Teapot Dome Service Center located in Zillah, Washington, and in 1985 listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
Kunsthaus Graz, Austria. The Museum of Contemporary Art in Graz was built in 2003. Designed by architects Peter Cook and Colin Fournier in an innovative style known as blob architecture, focusing on the creation of living structures similar to a huge drop or bubble. Though it looks like an ameba, it's called Friendly Alien.
Dog Bark Park Inn, Idaho, USA. The Dog Bark Park Inn is a hotel located in the US state of Idaho. The hotel is built in the shape of a beagle, making it a famous landmark in the state. It is colloquially known as Sweet Willy by local residents. The hotel, which is located in north central Idaho, is a two-bedroom B&B which also features dog-themed contents.
The Spittelau Waste Incineration Plant, Vienna, Austria. The Spittelau Incinerator is a waste-to-energy incinerator in Vienna, Austria. Originally completed in 1971 the building was damaged by fire and in 1987 the elevations were redesigned by architect and artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
Ripley's Believe It or Not! Atlantic City, NJ, USA. As of 2010, there are over 30 Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museums, or more correctly Odditoriums (from Oddity - someone or something strange or unusual) around the world. Ripley's Believe It or Not! is a franchise, founded by Robert LeRoy Riply (1890-1949), an American cartoonist, entrepreneur and amateur anthropologist. The first Ripley's Odditorium collection was displayed during the run of the World's Fair in 1933 in Chicago, and in 1950, a year after Ripley's death, the first permanent Odditorium opened in St. Augustine, Florida.
Tianzi Hotel, Langfang, China. This ten-storey building in the shape of three huge Heroes is nothing but the Tianzi Hotel that was built in 2000 in the Chinese city of Langfang, Hebei Province, between Beijing and Tianjin.
Robot Building, Bangkok, Thailand. The Robot Building, located in the Sathorn business district of Bangkok, Thailand, houses United Overseas Bank's Bangkok headquarters. It was designed for the Bank of Asia by Sumet Jumsai to reflect the computerization of banking; its architecture is a reaction against neoclassical and high-tech postmodern architecture. The building's features, such as progressively receding walls, antennas, and eyes, contribute to its robotic appearance and to its practical function. Completed in 1986, the building is one of the last examples of modern architecture in Bangkok.
The Torre Galatea, Figueres, Catalonia, Spain. The Dali Theatre and Museum, Torre Galatea in Figueres, Spain - the home town of famous artist Salvador Dali. It has a very unusual architecture with several egg shaped sculptures on its roof. Dali had spent later part of his life in Torre Galatea, which he had named after his wife Gala.
Wall House, Odessa, Ukraine. Wall House was built about 150 years ago. At first it seems to be built only for thin people, but in fact the secret of architectural deception was revealed: the back wall of the house is at a sharp angle, it is directly adjacent to a facade, and, as a matter of fact, the house has a triangular shape.
Museum of Contemporary Art, Niteroi, Brazil. Designed by Oscar Niemeyer with the assistance of structural engineer Bruno Contarini, who had worked with Niemeyer on earlier projects, the MAC-Niterói is 16 meters high; its cupola has a diameter of 50 metres with three floors. The museum projects itself over Boa Viagem (Bon Voyage, Good Journey), the 817 square metres (8,790 sq ft) reflecting pool that surrounds the cylindrical base like a flower, in the words of Niemeyer.

Day Trip to the Jersey Shore | Summer Vacation Vlog 2019
Summer is certainly my favorite season...mainly because of my memories of family fun at the Jersey shore. Wildwood, NJ is my go to for a day trip to the Jersey shore for weekend getaway ideas near me! Independence Day is quickly approaching so it is time to make our plans for staying at the Jersey shore and things to do in Wildwood NJ. A walk down memory lane is the perfect Summer vacation vlog 2019, in this review of our incredible city of brotherly love, Philadelphia!
“Watch the tram car please!” Anyone from New Jersey knows that voice and it probably brings them memories of the Wildwood boardwalks. For me, summers at the shore are nostalgic...I reminisce about jumping in ocean waves, walking on the boardwalk, riding on ferris wheel, and eating more than enough junk food - that is Summer in Wildwood. Just under two hours from Philly, Wildwood is a resort beach town on the New Jersey coast. It is known for its sandy beaches and boardwalk piers. It also happens to be well-known for the Sightseer tram car that screams get out of way, in an oh so pleasant manner. Since the last few months have literally flown by, why not jump in the car and hit the expressway?
I booked a suite at the most charming little bed and breakfast, named Sea Gypsy, located in North Wildwood. To my utter surprise it was two blocks from the boardwalk - score! I could literally park my car in the reserved parking area and walk to the beach and that is exactly what I did! After sleeping in just a bit, I got up and headed out to enjoy some seriously awesome french toast at the infamous Doo-Wop Coffee Shop in Wildwood Crest. A staple among Wildwood locals, this delightful little (and I do mean little) coffee shopped served everything tasty for breaky. After filling up, I headed back to my B&B, grabbed a chair from the main lobby and headed to the ocean. The weather was perfect. Sunny, blue skies and white sand as far as the eye could see. The water was clean and clear and could not get enough of it. After spending all day out there, I headed back to catch a quick nap and get ready for more fun on the boardwalk. The boardwalk is still the same - cheap t-shirt stores, the best pizza shops, Kohr’s ice cream (an absolute must) and everyone’s favorite, Morey’s Piers. Besides Wildwood’s wide beaches, the piers are what really bring in the crowds. We are talking old school rides like ferris wheels, tea cups, and even bumper cars. I did notice a few updates with Ripley’s Believe it or Not museum and an Aquarium that features sharks. Who knew? Walking the boardwalk and piers brought back many fond memories of family and friends, which I hope to continue.
Being such a quick drive from Philly, Wildwood should definitely be on your list for next Summer’s adventures. As much as I love this city, it was much needed time away from the hustle and bustle. What a wonderful way to end one season and prepare for a new season to be filled with fun and adventure! If you are like me and have memories of Wildwood or any other Jersey shore, please comment below...I would love to hear your stories whether old or new!

Atlantic City Casinos, Hotels and Beaches, Boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey
Atlantic City Casinos, Hotels and Beaches, Boardwalk in Atlantic City, New Jersey
Atlantic City is a resort city in Atlantic County, New Jersey, United States, known for its casinos, boardwalks, and beaches. In 2010, it had a population of 39,558. The city was incorporated on May 1, 1854, from portions of Egg Harbor Township and Galloway Township. It borders Absecon, Brigantine, Pleasantville, Ventnor City, West Atlantic City, and the Atlantic Ocean.
Atlantic City inspired the American version of the board game Monopoly, especially the street names. Since 1921, Atlantic City has been the home of the Miss America pageant.
Atlantic City is considered the Gambling Capital of the East Coast, and currently has seven large casinos. In 2011, New Jersey's then 12 casinos employed approximately 33,000 employees, had 28.5 million visitors, made $3.3 billion in gaming revenue, and paid $278 million in taxes. They are regulated by the New Jersey Casino Control Commission and the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement.
In the wake of the United States' economic downturn and the legalization of gambling in adjacent and nearby states (including Delaware, Maryland, New York, and Pennsylvania), four casino closures took place in 2014: the Atlantic Club on January 13; the Showboat on August 31; the Revel, which was Atlantic City's second-newest casino, on September 2; and Trump Plaza, which originally opened in 1984, and was the poorest performing casino in the city, on September 16.
Executives at Trump Entertainment Resorts, whose sole remaining property at the time was the Trump Taj Mahal, said in 2013 that they were considering the option of selling the Taj and winding down and exiting the gaming and hotel business. Trump Taj Mahal closed October 10, 2016 after failing to come to terms with union workers.
Caesars Entertainment executives have been reconsidering the future of their three remaining Atlantic City properties (Bally's, Caesars and Harrah's), in the wake of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing by the company's casino operating unit in January 2015.
The Atlantic City Boardwalk opened on June 26, 1870, a temporary structure erected for the summer season that was the first boardwalk in the United States.
The Boardwalk starts at Absecon Inlet in the north and runs along the beach south-west to the city limit 4 miles (6.4 km) away then continues 1 1⁄2 miles (2.4 km) into Ventnor City. Casinos and hotels front the boardwalk, as well as retail stores, restaurants, and amusements. Notable attractions include the Boardwalk Hall, House of Blues, and the Ripley's Believe It or Not! museum.
