The days are getting shorter so I have to keep the trips a reasonable distance else I get home too late. Today started off well but by the time I got to my launch site the rain came down - just my luck - I stayed in the car till it cleared by which time it was around 10:30am and launched by 10:50... Got going and this time I took my sail - just in case.
Never saw one Kingfisher today but saw some Parakeets - around 20 of the noisy things flying about today. This set of images is just a record of my day which was nothing new I'm afraid but I always try to document what I do...

It is between the towns of Tonbridge and Maidstone. It is an area which has suffered flooding in the past and so you may remember the name from news reports.
This film focuses on the area around Hampstead Lock and Teapot Island.

So today i went snorkeling in the river medway in kent, near aylesford. ive been here before magnet fishing and found a very old pistol so i decided to come back and snorkel the river medway.
This is episode 2/2 and in episode 1/2 i metal detect the river bank to see what treasure i can find. I found loads of old square nails and metal pieces dating back a long time but the coolest thing i found was an old bell.

Crashing plunge into the River Medway with a DJI Phantom
The Environment Agency purposely lowered the level of water in the river in Tonbridge this week...Flying the Phantom over a revealed houseboat, mysteriously lost GPS control, hacked into the bank and splashed into the river. Had to dash round on bike to Andy's bank-side abode, managed to pull the copter closer to the bank with his fishing rod (big thanks Andy!) ...Lights on the Phantom still flashing, which made it easier to locate. Had to wade in through the mud to catch the bleeping DJI fish. One motor board blown out, but hopefully the rest has survived.
