Island for sale on Delaware River

This is my first island. I've sold properties on the river in the past but I've never sold an island, said Barlow.
Getter's Island in the Delaware River is officially on the market.
The property, located in Easton, has been owned by a local family for more than 60 years who used it for camping and kayaking, but say it's time to part ways.
They eloquently said to me it was time for them to give up their king and queen crowns, said Barlow.
The more than five-acre island is covered with trees and the only way to get there is to paddle.
You can swim to it, you can boat to it, kayak to it, tube to it but currently there's no access from either the New Jersey or the Pennsylvania side, said Barlow.

Wilmington (Lenape: Paxahakink, Pakehakink) is the largest city in the state of Delaware, United States, and is located at the confluence of the Christina River and Brandywine Creek, near where the Christina flows into the Delaware River. It is the county seat of New Castle County and one of the major cities in the Delaware Valley metropolitan area. Wilmington was named by Proprietor Thomas Penn after his friend Spencer Compton, Earl of Wilmington, who was prime minister in the reign of George II of Great Britain.
According to the 2010 census, the population of the city is 70,851, a decrease of 2.4% from 2000.

Long awaited Wilmington bike trail taking shape
A long-planned bike trail extending from the Wilmington Riverfront is part of the Delaware's ongoing effort to make it easier for cyclists to get to the city of Wilmington, but it comes with a hefty price-tag.
Drivers on I-95 near Wilmington may have noticed construction underway in the marshy area beside the Christina River just south of the city. The arches that will support a nearly 300 foot crossing over the Christina River are now in place and workers are making lots of progress on a mile long trail that will connect Wilmington to Old New Castle.

Brandywine Creek State Park is a state park, located 3 miles (4.8 km) north of Wilmington, Delaware along the Brandywine Creek. Open year-round, it is 933 acres (378 ha) in area and was a dairy farm owned by the Du Pont family before becoming a state park in 1965. It contains the first two nature preserves in Delaware. These nature preserves are Tulip Tree Woods and Freshwater Marsh. Flint Woods is a satellite area of the park and has become the park's third nature preserve. Flint Woods is home to species of rare song birds and an old growth forest. The park's forests are part of the Northeastern coastal forests ecoregion.[1]
Fourteen miles of trails run the park, the longest being the Rocky Run Trail and the Greenways Trail. Brandywine Creek has a large population of bass, and Wilson's Run is known for its trout. Nearby parks include White Clay Creek State Park, Wilmington State Parks, and Bellevue State Park,More Info
