???????? Kokura Kitakyushu 小倉 - Amazing Travel Video! (HD)
Visited Kokura castle and riverwalk shopping centre area in Kitakyushu, on the way to Fukuoka city.
Think this is my 100th video!
Kokura (小倉?) is an ancient castle town and the center of Kitakyūshū, Japan, guarding, via its suburb Moji, the Straits of Shimonoseki between Honshū and Kyūshū. Kokura is also the name of the penultimate station on the southbound Sanyo Shinkansen line, which is owned by JR Kyūshū and an important part of the company's rail network. Ferries connect Kokura with Matsuyama on Shikoku, and Busan in Korea.

Kokura Castle in Kitakyushu
Kokura Castle (小倉城) in Kitakyushu was built in 1602. After the castle was burnt down in
1866 in a war between two rival clans, the keep was reconstructed in 1959, and the castle was fully restored in 1990.
The castle grounds are now known as Katsuyama Park and are a popular cherry blossom spot.
Inside the castle, visitors awaits a tour through local history with displays, an interactive zone and a
small theater where visitors can get a hands-on and visual experience of past castle life.
Furthermore, the castle's top floor offers a spectacular panoramic view over the city.

A day in Kitakyushu | 北九州の一日
Kitakyushu is the northernmost city on Japan's Kyushu Island. It is one of those places that deserve to be more popular than they currently are. If you are thinking going beyond Tokyo, Osaka and other main cities of Japan, you must include Kitakyushu in your itinerary, as most of it can be covered in a day or two.
A good way to reach there is to board a Shinkansen (bullet train) up to Kokura station which is the main JR station of Kitakyushu city. Enjoy your trip to Kitakyushu and let me know your favorite place in Japan
Hope you enjoy the video.

After we did exercise by cycling in the morning, this afternoon we will go to Kitakyushu. We took Sonic 31 train from Kashii station to Kokura after that we walked to the Tanga market, the market that they claimed that it's exit here more than 100 years. Once we arrived the market, most of the shops here are selling food which is good. We haven't eat any proper lunch yet so we bought the food from here. We also found the Japanese cherry. I thought that the cherry season was over but we bought it here and it was a very good price but we found that there were many of them were mold. I was so chock because I've never thought that I will face kind of this situation in Japan. But it wasn't that bad if compared with how much we paid for it.
After we finished our lunch, we walked around a bit to see the port view and went to ARU ARU city too. ARU ARU mall is behind the station. This mall is all about animation and game. Unfortunately most of them are not allow to take any photo or video.
Before we go back to Hakata, we went to Mojiko station where is the station looks so cool. And the time we were arrive there was perfect. The lights was turned on made this place became my favorite place in this trip. We spent only 1 hour here.
At the end of this video I also did the hotel room tour. The Hotel Century art Hakata. The room quite big and not too expensive. Most important thing is this hotel is very near to Hakata station.

Kitakyushu, Kyushu's northernmost city and an international city with a million people, borders on the main island of Japan across the Kanmon Strait.
Kitakyushu is near the Asian countries, and particularly because it is conveniently located on the straight line connecting Tokyo and Shanghai, has been blessed with prosperity as a gateway to Asia and as an industrial base in Japan.
Today, Kitakyushu is advancing diverse activities under the key word 'internationalization' on the basis of the fundamental plan of the 'Kitakyushu Renaissance,' whose basic concept is 'Toward Becoming an International and Technological City with Waterfront, Green Environment and Human Contact.'
Kitakyushu, an international, industrial and trade city with a population of one million, was established in February 1963 by the equal-basis amalgamation of five cities: Moji, Kokura, Wakamatsu, Yahata and Tobata.
In around 1600, the Kitakyushu Area was spotlighted for the first time in history. Kokura Castle was constructed during that time and the area subsequently prospered as a castle town becoming the center of governmental and commercial activities in Kyushu.
The Meiji government, formed in the latter half of the 19th century, noted the geographic advantages of the Kitakyushu area which had prospered as a key junction of marine and land traffic since olden times. In addition to the development of commerce, railroad lines and port facilities were rapidly constructed in the area; the City has since developed as one of the most important distribution bases in Japan.
Moreover, regarding the industrial aspect, Kitakyushu comprises one of the four largest industrial zones as an industrial base contributing to the manufacturing abilities of Japan, through the aggregation of such material industries as the steel, chemical, metal and ceramic industries, which began when the government-managed Yahata Steelworks, the largest steelworks in Asia, which was founded in 1901. Today, automobile-related industries are being established in this city one after another.
In addition, along with changes in the industrial structure in recent years, high-technology industries including industrial robots, IC-related products and biotechnologies are being generated in this area while some new regional movements are under way toward the advancement and diversification of regional industries such as joint research through cooperation of business, academic and governmental circles and development of new products by an interprofessional group.
