Osman B. Warren - Not as well known as other famous names. He is an unsung hero of Rochester. He is a survivor of the infamous Andersonville Prison Camp and helped create the Rochester Library.

15 Main Street fire in downtown Rochester (Gonic) that spread to THREE buildings that destroyed an apartment house and restaurant and heavily damaged a gun store that were side by side very old wooden buildings
Started in an alley way between two buildings and quickly spread
Fire under investigation by Rochester NH FD Fire Marshall's office as well as NH State Fire Marshall's office and the Rochester NH Police Department
(1) FF sent to hospital for heat exhaustion
Red Cross and Victims Inc to scene for homeless persons assistance
Over 100 firefighters responded to the scene from all over Strafford County New Hampshire
Sanford Maine FD provided station coverage at Rochester NH FD Central station (came from over 45 minutes away in Maine)
Lakes Regions send a 5 unit Task Force on the 6th Alarm to assist the Rochester NH FD for manpower due to high heat in the 90's at time of the Fire
All residents of the apartment house destroyed by fire are homeless
Popular local restaurant destroyed by the fire
Gun Store suffered heavy damage from smoke and water damage in the 100's of thousands of dollars
