Stone Depot
**revised** from
Me, Jacob and Matt on a camping trip at Stone Depot over in Brevard, NC. An hour hike in that is extremely steep on half of it in the Pisgah Nat. Forest on Cathy's Creek Rd. It rains 80% of the year here.....we were rained on the entire hike out and then some. End of June and the cool temps at night made our campfire welcome. Fun easy climbing on the Stone Depot with amazing view of Looking Glass mountain!

A woman was injured in a roll-over wreck that snarled traffic on NC 194 this morning. The crash was just before 9am near the Clint Norris Road intersection closest to town, and involved a Subaru SUV that rolled over, landing across both lanes of the highway. Arriving Boone Firemen and Watauga Medics were unable to remove the woman from the van, and had to cut the roof from the van before they could safely get her out of the van. The woman was said to be disoriented but conscious en route to the hospital when finally removed from the wreck, the NC State Patrol investigating.

The Advent and Future of Tax-Deductible Conservation Easement Policy in the United States
DescriptionIf you have protected farmland, forests, or open space in your community, there's a good chance you have Steve Small to thank. A legal pioneer who paved the way to make conservation easements tax-deductible in the US, Small wrote federal tax regulations credited with facilitating the conservation of millions of acres of private land. He has devoted significant energy and creativity to the use of easements and land conservation in America.
Small joined Jim Levitt of the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy and the Harvard Forest for an online dialogue regarding the history of tax-deductible conservation easements over the past four decades and the future of private open-space protection in the United States. The two also reflected on the extensive collection of conservation-related books that Small has amassed over the course of his career, a collection that he recently donated to Texas Tech University.

ABOUT THIS FEED:
Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada, in the Canadian Rockies, is located on the Canadian Pacific Railway (CP), where their Shuswap Sub meets their Mountain Sub. The Shuswap Sub runs to the west to Kamloops, BC (towards Vancouver, BC), and the Mountain Sub runs to the east to Field, BC, through Rogers Pass.
The CP traverses the Canadian Rockies over 2 passes. Rogers Pass, which is to the immediate east of Revelstoke, and further east, Kicking Horse Pass, which is to the immediate east of Field. Rogers Pass is at 4,360 feet (1,330 meters), and Kicking Horse Pass is at 5,339 feet (1,627 meters). To the west of Revelstoke is the lower Eagle Pass, at 1,804 feet (550 meters).
Among the freight trains seen here are unit potash, unit grain, and unit coal. Loaded westbounds feature both mid-train and end-of-train DPU’s, and empty eastbounds have fewer engines, both on front and as DPU’s. Many but not all eastbounds will stop to enter the yard, which is located to the east of the museum and cameras. Also seen are manifests, intermodal, and combined intermodal/manifest..
On occasion, the gates will activate, but will soon after deactivate, with no train, which is due to the switcher in the yard proceeding far forward enough to enter the crossing's track circuit.
There are no VIA Rail passenger trains through Revelstoke, however, during part of the year the Rocky Mountaineer can be seen.
There are 2 ATCS layouts, one for each sub, but there is no server coverage. No radio feeds are available.
There’s no schedule for freight trains, but some of our more knowledgeable members will provide real-time information when it’s available. Please refrain from asking.

25 Plant 618lb. Mendo Dope Marijuana Garden featured in High Times Magazine.
WARRING the 25 plant garden in this video you are about to watch is 100% real and was completely destroyed right at harvest on October 10th at 11am by Mendocino county sheriffs and C.A.M.P for being to BIG. They later said the garden was at a estimated 618+ pounds...which is bullshit.
Here's the entire 2013 Weed Nerd footage from Subcool and The Hunters Of The Dank of Mendo Dopes 2013 garden that was later raided, chipped up and destroyed. Support Mendo Dope on mendodopemusic.com and stand up to this crooked trap that the government and police put us all in. Because of this Mendo Dope will be releasing a new album for the 2014 harvest season called The Walking Bomb Threat which refers to the calls, complaints and snitching that is made on all the Marijuana Criminals or Urban Terrorists for having the Bomb-Marijuana/Weed/Dope/Dank/Reefer/Ganja/Sensi/Hemp/etc...
Ep. 509 Climbing Though Carolina - Tennessee Valley Uncharted
On this episode of Tennessee Valley Uncharted, Erick’s taking on new challenges in western North Carolina. First, he tests out his strength and agility on the ropes course at High Gravity Adventures. He then swings over to F.A.R.M. Café, an organization where people can volunteer to make food for those in need. After baking some delicious cookies and helping out on the serving line, Erick takes a look around the original Mast General in Valle Crucis to see why this store means so much to the surrounding community. Lucky for him, he’s able to find all the gear he needs there for his next adventure: highlining in the beautiful Linville Wilderness. With some guidance and encouragement from experts from Southeast Slackline Coalition, Erick learns no matter how many times you fall, the important thing is getting back up again. Last is a trip to Chatuge Lake for the Bassmaster Tournament. Not only does he get to watch some of the world’s best anglers weigh in, but he also learns how fishing impacts economic and conservation efforts; in 2018, the total economic impact of fishing in America came in around $125 billion dollars! From cookies to forests to fishing, giving back has never felt this good.
