A young woman found a “haunted” escape room in northwestern China’s Shaanxi province so terrifying that she fell to the floor. Yet her teammates refused to give up on her, and dragged her to the end.

Lost HK: Room escape game in Hong Kong
Lost HK is one of the two largest room escape game provider in Hong Kong. With tons of new technology and gadgets, the game has attracted many youngsters and become a new trend.
Real life 'escape room' game proves a hit in Hong Kong

Blood spattered corpses, coffins, and dungeons all form part of a new real-life ' Escape' game in Hong Kong.
The online versions of the same game have already proved to be big hits around the world and it seems this real dare-devil version is taking off too.
STORYLINE:
If a ghost walk or horror film isn't enough to spook you this Halloween, then how about trying to escape from here.
Inside this darkened building, there's a mock jail and an operating theatre.
You may even find yourself in handcuffs.
Freeing HK is said to have been the first real-life escape room game provider to arrive in Hong Kong.
Student Yuki Tang is trying her luck today.
I saw my friends posting photos on Facebook and I thought it was really interesting so I brought my friends to play, she says.
The company behind it has three experiences in Hong Kong, with each of them having different themed rooms.
They include a castle with a secret room, which is accessed by sliding through a coffin.
There's also an art gallery with a laser field, which players have to get around without breaking the beams.
Most of the players who come here have played escape the room games on their phones and computers.
The real-life version is proving to be more exciting and challenging.
It's a very different experience because it is more real, you can touch the objects and you can visually see them, so it is easier to play, says Yuki.
Grace Chow, who's also trying to escape, says the key to getting out is in team work.
(You) have to discuss and communicate together and find out the different ways, it is impossible to play on your own, she says.
It's not just groups of friends that enjoy playing the games.
They are also proving popular with companies who use it as a team-building exercise.
The reason Freeing HK was established was because we thought the entertainments of the local are too passive. For example karaoke, movies, drinks and shopping, it seems that it lacks some creativity, says Dominic Wong, General Manager of Freeing Hong Kong.
Wong says that more than ten other similar companies have emerged since they brought escape rooms to Hong Kong.
The company plans to change the room themes in the future to keep players interested.
I will play again because there are three shops and each shop has different themes. The themes are all attractive and interesting so I will most likely do it again, says Yuki.
Freeing HK is also expanding overseas, including Macau, Guangzhou and Singapore.

In February 2008, Edison Chen (aka EDC), a Canadian-born Hong Kong pop star/streetwear entrepreneur, was involved in a sex photo scandal - a series of his intimate photos with various female celebrities got distributed over the internet after a computer technician leaked them online.
While netizens were busily distributing the photos through email and forum, the scandal also led to the very first moral debate over celebrity privacy in China's pre-social media era.
Before this, Chen was a cult figure to many Chinese youth who were born in 1980s and early 1990s - as he was possibly the only counter-hero icon in the Chinese entertainment industry for introducing hip hop music and street culture to the country's mainstream.
After the photo scandal, Chen stepped away from Hong Kong entertainment industry due to overwhelming public pressure, and started focusing on his streetwear brand and more recently, art collections.
Almost eight years later after the photo scandal, VICE China follows EDC on a 19-day shoot, revealing his business routines, reminiscing his influences from hip hop music, and talking about the irony of stardom in Chinese showbiz.
After VICE aired this documentary in China, video view broke into 40MM in first week - people are showing full support to EDC, and no one's blaming him for being a womaniser anymore - again, the irony.

According to “Shi-ji”, the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor has a lot of traps, if the underground palace is open, mercury will pour out and flood the intruders. To protects the mausoleum, the only way is to find the “Dragon Pearl” at the exit of the mausoleum. Will you escape from the traps or will you be submerged.

By all accounts, Devotion was a great game. That sentence has to be in past tense, and the opinion has to be second-hand, because Devotion was only available to play for one week earlier this year. But apparently, it was a twisted and masterful psychological horror title inspired by games like PT, but steeped in Taiwanese superstition.
