Such an awesome rafting experience! Colorado's Royal Gorge is home to some of the absolute BEST white water rafting in the rocky state. On the first major set of raging rapids, we lost our guides! haha not really, both guides just fell out of the raft. One of the best white water rafting experience I've had. If you ever find yourself in the Colorado Springs area with a morning to kill.. this is WELL worth the hour drive!
Only an hour southeast of Colorado Springs, the Royal Gorge of the Arkansas River offers some insane class 5 V white water rafting for those seeking an adrenaline boost and views unparalleled as far as white water rafting goes. I have been white water rafting 3 other times in Colorado, and all were incredible. But nothing compares to the insane beauty of the Royal Gorge and the amazing views alongside the royal gorge train and class 5 V rapids.
