Sea Life London Aquarium; on the South Bank of River Thames
The London Aquarium is a great break from the hustle and bustle of the London traffic. So well worth an escape :-) There are normally great deals on tickets - which can be purchased in package deals, for example with the London Eye (check out our other video!)
The sea life aquarium has multiple sections from the intense Shark Walk, the Atlantic Coasts section, there is the Ray Lagoon, Seahorse Kingdom, Conservation Cove, Ocean Invaders (jellyfish), Rockpool and Ocean Tunnel. Through each location you can see everything from Octopus, Ray's, Penguins and more. An amazing family thing to do - or for anyone ;-)
The Sea Life London Aquarium is located on the ground floor of County Hall on the South Bank of the River Thames in central London, near the London Eye. It opened in March 1997 as the London Aquarium and hosts about one million visitors each year.
There are different types of trips done to the London Aquarium and there are a couple of things to keep in mind while being there and make sure to check before leaving the place. This place is one of those which the school trips in London are usually headed to and this of course comes in addition to the trips that families tend to do with their kids and those coming to visit the city also love to check and witness those creatures living under the water.
Think about those creatures which you might love the most when it comes to the life under the water and you will find out that most of these are found in the London Aquarium. There are Sharks, Sea Turtles, Clownfish and many other types which might be rare to find in any other place. The most interesting thing about London Aquarium is that you come so close to these different creatures and get to see them on a closer level.
Many of those creatures found in London Aquarium are on the endangered list, have been rescued and cannot be released into the wild or have been born and bred as part of the conservation projects related to the aquarium, so in all the cases, you will come closer to species which you might not be able to see anywhere else even in other aquariums around the world.
From the sea creatures that are found there, you will find Coral Reef, Seahorses, Seadragons, Pipefish, Penguins, Turtles, Rockpools, Jellyfish, Sharks, Rays, British Waters, Rainforest Species, the River Thames and Octopus. The most interesting thing of all in addition to witnessing all those in the real world is coming so close to them - you will get that feeling as if you are swimming with them in the water.
London Aquarium is open all week days, it opens from 10 am to 6 pm during week days with the last admission being at 5 pm and it opens from 9:30 am to 7 pm during the weekends with the last admission being at 6 pm; so you could head there during your stay in London any day in the week, just find which day is suiting you the best.
London Aquarium is located on the south bank of the River Thames, within the County Hall building, it is just right next to the Coca-Cola London Eye that stands as one of the top attractions of London since it gives the people the chance to view the whole city from up there. This location also comes right next to the Westminster Bridge from Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament (
London Aquarium - which is also known as Sea Life London Aquarium - brings different experiences to those visiting it through the different parts found inside and every part of them could offer something to the visitor that could sometimes reach feeding the creature. Those parts include the Shark Walk, the Open Oceans and Ship Wreck part, Nemo's Coral Reef, Rainforests of the world partition, the Penguin Point, the Shark Reef Encounter and in every single one of them you will get the chance to choose what you want to do inside, if you want to feed any of them, you should know the specific times and should book the VIP ticket.
London is filled with lots of places to be visited and in every single one of them, you will find yourself falling in love with a specific thing, it might be all about history and it might be all about the life of the city in general; we have been there and we know what we are telling you :-)!
In addition to Coca-Cola London Eye and Big Ben, there is still a long list of places to go to and check while you are visiting London and from those which we have also been to, there is Buckingham Palace ( Chinatown ( and the Natural History Museum ( but the list could go on to include lots of other places like Oxford street, taking the hop-on hop-off bus around the city, visiting Madame Tussauds and visiting lots of other historical places in the city as well.
Are you ready to get into London Aquarium and come closer to all those sea creatures found there inside the waters?
