Travis Mose sings a song in a cave deep in Monument Valley back area.
I was impressed with this impromptu song the way he merged Native Navajo language song with translated into modern English without skipping a beat. the cave provided the perfect acoustical background and reverberation to give the song that powerful impact.
Travis is Navajo and in a local band with many more musical talents. There is a Demo CD available but is band centric where he just plays the Drums and not a good sampling of his talents.
I am a big fan of Jim Morrison and the Doors and this reminds me of several of their songs.
I have asked Travis to share more of his talents and allow me to record and post them for folks in the music industry to listen and evaluate the new sound i hear with a goal to expand on what the Doors started and died with the band. That native dance beat with a mix of both native an english lyrics well as traditional flute/drum inclusion in with modern rock and roll band instruments.
For those in the music business please take off the blinders, listen and try to hear a new direction of music that Travis created which touched me enough to bring it to your attention and review.

5. The Devil’s Tower
Devil’s tower, that soars 900 feet in the sky is National Monument is located in the state of Wyoming. This landmark is considered to be sacred to the Lakota Tribe and other small tribes in this area. The Lakota however have the strongest spiritual connection with this place. They refer to it by several different names including “ghost mountain” “Grizzly Bear’s Lodge” and “Mythical Owl Mountain”. It’s here where they often conducted spiritual rituals such as fasting, praying, and shaman would performing healing ceremonies. One tale tells that a fierce warrior was undergoing a vision and suddenly appeared at the top of this mountain. He was frightened and felt that there was no possible way to come down without losing his life. Here in this photo, we see the chief of the Lakota Nation, who goes by the Chief Arvol. Him and his people have requested that the name of the mountain be changed to the “Bears Lodge”. He claims that the name is very misleading, There’s nothing evil about it and it’s a place where his people have prayed for years.
4. Mauna Kea
Mauna Kea is the highest peak in the state of hawaii, reaching nearly 14,000 feet and the native Hawaiians find this place to be a sacred place. From the peak of this massive dormant volcano, amazing views of the cosmos can be seen due to the darkness of the ocean surrounding it. For this reason, it’s also sought after by astronomers who wanted to build a massive telescope to peer into the final frontier. Native hawaiians protested the construction of the Mauna kea telescope on this sacred volcano. They claim that it’s from here where spirits of the supreme beings, divine entities live and the meeting place for the god of the sky and mother earth. It’s also believed to be a holy burial ground. Many people protested the construction of the telescope and in 2015, native hawaiians held a large gathering to block entrance to it and were arrested by authorities.
3. The Grand Canyon
This location is often on travellers to-do list while visiting the Southwestern United States. Many tourists however, might not know right away that these remarkably beautiful canyons are sacred to Native American tribes. In the surrounding area, tribes like the Navajo, Havasupai, Hopi and Paiute Tribes have all settled in this area, well before tours to the white man were available and before gift shops began selling replica jewlery. Many tribes have deeply imbedded history in the grand canyon and there are several Indian reservation here. The water that flows through the canyon is considered to be sacred to them, and the Havasupai Indians get their name from this. Havasupai translates to “people of the green and blue waters. Other stone structures nearby like Wigleeva we see here, overlooks the havasupai village, are believed to guard the tribe, and if they fall, it will mean the end of their civilization.
2. Navajo Mountain
Located in Southwest Utah, in the monument valley, this is the highest peak in the Navajo Nation reserve and considered to be the area of the first ever Navajo settlement. It plays a huge role in Navajo culture and is the setting of their mythical legends. Evidence of other people such as the Anasazi have also been discovered and the Navajo also believe it’s haunted by spirits of this tribe. The southwest of the united states can get quite dry at times, and they believe tha0t this mountain plays a vital role in bring rain and freshwater to their people.
1.The Black Hills
Possibly one of the most disputed pieces of land within the United States are the Black Hills. Other areas in North and South Dakota are the original homeland for the Lakota Native Americans. According the them, the Black Hills are “the heart of Everything that is”. As the American settlers continued westward with the concept of Manifest Destiny, it became a casualty in vicious conquest of land. Thousands of buffalo that once roamed this area, with purposely slaughtered to extinguish the food source of this tribe, like we see here with this pyramid of Buffalo skulls. The black mountains are still a location of political unrest and confrontations in modern times. Many Lakota believe that this is a unique place where they are able to make spiritual connections with their creators. It’s also their the location of the Bears Lodge we mentioned eariler. The Lakota take a large amount of pride in their heritage and even recently there’s been civil unrest when tribe members feared the government building a oil pipeline through burial grounds and sacred land near the black hills.

Navajo Nation | Monument Valley - 4 Corners Region
Enjoy scenes from some of the most dramatic and beautiful areas of the world--Monument Valley (Tsé Biiʼ Ndzisgaii, meaning Valley of the Rocks). It is located on the Arizona–Utah border near the Four Corners area. The valley lies within the territory of the Navajo Nation.
SUBSCRIBE today and you can help us in our efforts to increase awareness of just how precious and beautiful our world is and how we are all equally just as beautiful. It is our daily mission to spread positivity, self-worth, love of nature, and our connection to one another. Like a drop of water creates a ripple in a pond, together, we can create a tidal wave of love and compassion.
Many have forgotten that we are nature--not something separate from nature. So, to lose your connection to nature, is to lose connection to ourselves. 'In Nature's Harmony' strives to maintain, in our own small way, that link between the natural world and human kind to remind us all that we are one. Always be kind, always have respect, keep your balance in daily life.
~In Nature's Harmony~
We compose nature music videos that can be labeled, as for example: sleep music, calm music, yoga music, study music, peaceful music, beautiful music and relaxing music. Blended together, the quiet music and beauty of nature, create a relaxing environment for your home or office. This is a perfect backdrop, if you will, almost a subliminal suggestion to your mind, body, and spirit, signaling a relaxation response. Many hospitals and doctor's offices have adopted the practice of presenting these calming music and nature videos to help their patients in their recovery process, or to simply help put them in a calm and relaxed state. Universities and college campuses, libraries, study halls, and dorm rooms alike have also begun using the natural images and beautiful sounds to help boost memory and unlock the powers of the mind. There have been many scientific studies to help support this phenomenon. A recent article that appeared in Reuters stated, Stronger and more lasting memories are likely to be formed when a person is relaxed and the memory-related neurons in the brain fire in sync with certain brain waves, scientists said. Researchers from the United States said their findings could help develop new therapies for people with learning disabilities and some types of dementia.
'This study establishes a direct relationship between events at the circuit level of the brain...and their effects on human behavior,' said Ueli Rutishauser of the California Institute of Technology, who worked on the study.
Synchronization in the brain is influenced by “theta waves” which are associated with relaxation, daydreaming and drowsiness, but also with learning and memory formation, the scientists explained in the study in the journal Nature.
While scientists already know that relaxed minds are better at receiving new information, this study pinpoints a mechanism by which relaxation neurons work together to improve memory.
'Our research shows that when memory-related neurons are well coordinated to theta waves during the learning process, memories are stronger,' said Adam Mamelak, a neurosurgeon at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

7.Bighorn Medicine Wheel | Wyoming | Unknown Tribes
Some 10,000 feet above sea level, hidden deep in Wyoming’s Big Horn mountain range, lies a strange and old stone formation. The stones are arranged in a wheel formation, hence the name.
Medicine Wheels are also referred to as sacred hoops and they are primarily used for astronomical and sacred ritual purposes. These landmarks are not unique to Wyoming, 100s of medicine wheels have been discovered all across America. But, just like this one, many were built many moons ago by unknown tribes.
6.Crater Lake | Oregon | Klamath
With a maximum depth of 1,949 ft (594m), Crater lake is the deepest lake in the United States, and the 9th deepest in the world.Or the 7th if you don’t include some lakes, or the 3rd if you measure by average depth, or the 1st if you measure by average depth while being totally above sea level. Whatever rocks your boat I guess.
Crater lakes are not created from impact craters but by calderas, aka volcanic craters. Located in Oregon, the caldera was formed around 7,700 years by the collapse of the Mount Mezuma volcano. Science says that the massive eruption put out around 12 cubic miles (50 cubic kilometers) of volcanic rock.
After the collapse of mount mezuma, lava eruptions created Wizard Island and other volcanic domes that rise above current water levels. It took 1000s of years before the caldera actually filled up with water since it only accumulated from rain and snow melt.
6.Gila Wilderness | New Mexico | Mogollon Tribe
The Gila Wilderness stretches over an area of 27 by 39 miles and was one of the first recognized areas in America as a ‘wilderness’ thus putting it under protection United States federal government. The area was once inhabited by the Mimbres people who were a smaller tribe that was part of the bigger, Mogollon tribe somewhere between 200-1400 AD, the Apache also used the area from time to time.
Many campers and hikers come here for the 4 to 5-day loop through the wilderness. The area boasts many ghost towns and empty mines ranging in size and age. The most famous of them being the Gila Cliff Dwellings. Built by the Mogollon People, there are 5 alcoves, with a total of 46 rooms. Its estimated that the dwellings were home to 10-15 families. There’s no way to know for sure, but its believed the dwellings were carved out sometime between 1275 and 1400.
5.The Black Hills | South Dakota, Wyoming | Lakota: Ȟe Sápa; Cheyenne: Moʼȯhta-voʼhonáaeva
The Black Hills are a mountain range that is covered in dark green trees which gives it a black appearance from a distance. The Black Hills are part of the South Dakota Badlands, which is the famous location of Mount Rushmore and the still uncompleted Crazy Horse Memorial.
3.Chief Mountain | Montana | Blackfoot: Ninaistako
2.The Devil’s Tower | Wyoming | Lakota: Matȟó Thípila
In Wyoming, looming overhead is a butte which appears more like a petrified stump that a geological formation. Many names have been attributed to the unusually shaped piece of rock which has odd grooves up and down. The Native Americans attributed many names to the butte such as ‘Bears House’, ‘Bears Lair’, and ‘Tree Rock’.
The butte is a rare phenomenon in geology and geologists aren’t certain how the Devil’s Tower formed with such a unique shape. However, there are many theories, but those don’t hold a candle compared to the great tales from the natives about the origins of the massive stone.
Considering the Native American name of “bear’s lair” you can see where this is going right ? The Kiowa, Lakota, Cheyenne, Crow, and Arapahoe had varying stories about a GIANT bear living underneath the rock.
Oh yeah, you might have seen this rock in “Close Encounters of the Third Kind”, for more on that click in the top right corner !
1.Monument Valley | Utah, Arizona | Navajo: Tsé Biiʼ Ndzisgaii
Likely the most mesmerizing Native American site on this list, Monument Valley draws thousands of visitors a year to see the amazing scenic route. Located in Navajo Land on the Arizona-Utah border, the valley is filled with many homes of Navajo People.
The sandstone towers are the graveyard of a rocky mountain range which has been eroded down by thousands of years of wind and water erosion. John Ford featured Monument valley in his western films, making this once remote location, “what moviegoers think of when they imagine the American West”
There are special names for many of the rock formations, like the elephant butte, the three sisters, spearhead mesa, and the north window.

Monument Valley Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Monument Valley in the United States of America.
Monument Valley is situated on the border of the North American states of Arizona and Utah in a region of magnificent freestanding sandstone rocks that tower 1000 feet above the desert.More than 200 million years ago the area was covered by ocean on the bed of which were deep deposits of mud which turned into slate and as the sea bed rose again the water drained away and cracks and fissures were formed and a vast sandstone plain was created. In the heart of the Navajo Reservation, with its magical rock formations which in the evening sun glow a burning, indelible red, it’s easy to understand why Nature played such an important part in the lives of its native inhabitants. A sacred atmosphere can be felt everywhere and the existence of ghosts is suddenly all too possible.

The Best of the West Coast – USA Road Trip (DJI Spark shots)
In the fall of 2017 my girlfriend and me went to USA for a vacation. It wasn't the first time in US for me, so I was able to put together pretty good itinerary... at least in my opinion. We started in San Francisco, where I proposed Melinda (that was very important as I could have easily ruined the whole vacation).
We continued to our friend's house in Sacramento and after two days we headed to Yellowstone National Park. We continued to the south, stopped by Colorado National Monument, in Canyonlands and Monument Valley on the way. Then we headed to the west to city of Page, Las Vegas, Death Valley, Palm Springs and Los Angeles.

Monument Valley Travel Guide (USA) Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Monument Valley in The USA.
For many years Monument Valley and its distinctive mesas in the northern part of Arizona have become one of the most famous natural landmarks in the United States. The region was populated many thousands of years ago by the Native American Indians and there are traces of the Anasazi Tribe, an ancient and once highly developed culture. The characteristic colour of the terrain is mainly to due to ferrous oxide and occasionally black veins of manganese oxide can also be seen in the rock. However, Monument Valley's main feature is the stunning beauty of its various spectacular rock needles and towers. For the local Navajo Indians the gigantic columns mean more than just picturesque scenery as they have a close and sacred relationship with the landscape of their forefathers. Thus Monument Valley is much more than a world famous nature park: the region is also greatly valued as a colourful focal point of ancient Native American Indian culture and tradition.
