TOKYO TOWER JAPAN 2018
TOKYO TOWER JAPAN 2018
Tokyo Tower is a communications and observation tower in the Shiba-koen district of Minato, Tokyo, Japan. At 332.9 metres (1,092 ft), it is the second-tallest structure in Japan. The structure is an Eiffel Tower-inspired lattice tower that is painted white and international orange to comply with air safety regulations.
The tower acts as a support structure for an antenna. Intended for television broadcasting, radio antennas were installed in 1961, but the tower now broadcasts signals for Japanese media outlets such as NHK, TBS and Fuji TV.
The tower's main deck at 150 meters is reached via elevator or a 600-step staircase (both paid). Thanks to the tower's central location, the observatory offers an interesting view of the city despite being only at a relatively moderate height. There are also some lookdown windows in the floor to stand on, a souvenir shop and a cafe where visitors can enjoy refreshments.
A second set of elevators connect the main deck to the 250 meter high top deck, from where you can get a bird's eye view of Tokyo from high above the surrounding buildings.
Directly below the tower stands the Foot Town building, which houses a variety of souvenir shops, cafes, restaurants and the One Piece Tower, an indoor amusement park. Opened on the 15th anniversary of the popular manga in 2015, the park offers a variety of shows, games and other attractions that feature characters from the series.

Tokyo office grows own food in vertical farm
In a country with very little arable land (only 12% compared with 20% in the US), in one of the most populated cities in the world, one company chose to give up 43,000 square feet of valuable workspace to grow food. In the Tokyo headquarters of human resources company Pasona Group they grow 200 species of fruits and vegetables and even rice that are harvested and served to employees.
The indoor urban farm doesn’t just provide food, but by mixing work space and farm space, the company tries to provide a healthier quality of life for employees. Here green isn’t just a window dressing: immediately upon entering the building you walk over a 1,000-square-foot rice paddy, continue through an okra field and you enter the vine-covered “tomato guest room” or the “vegetable factory” filled with hundreds of hydroponic heads of lettuce. On the second floor, fruit trees form partition walls between meeting spaces, bean sprouts are grown under benches and herbs grow on shelving along the walls.
Even the outside of the building is covered in plants helping keep the building cool in summer and warmer in winter. According to the farm’s designers Kono Designs, “it is the largest and most direct farm-to-table of its kind ever realized inside an office building in Japan.”

Explosions at US base in Sagamihara
Japan Aug. 23, 2015 - Updated 15:25 UTC-4
Japanese authorities say a fire broke out at a US military facility near Tokyo. Local residents say they heard multiple explosions.
Police in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, say they received several calls shortly after midnight on Monday reporting the explosions at the US Army's Sagami General Depot.
Fire authorities in the city say an official at the depot called them to say a fire broke out after what is believed to be an explosion at a warehouse in the compound.
The US Army told the fire department that the warehouse stores cylinders and oxide that could have caught fire.
No injuries have been reported so far. And local officials say they haven't issued an evacuation order for residents because the fire is unlikely to spread outside the base.
The depot sits on about 200 hectares and has warehouses and repair facilities.

Hello everyone, welcome
This photo is made in Japan's Sagamihara, Interchange, (flyover in several directions), which is between mountains.
There are 8 different routes to go, and there are all arranged route indicators. After proceeding from this interchange, the tunnels are started, which take them to different cities. Due to being among the hills, it seems more interesting to the people.
Just 40 kilometers away from the capital Tokyo, it relieves the big problem of interchange traffic jams. If anyone has to go to another city without entering Tokyo, then he can also use it.
