Bicycle ride from Marymoor park (Redmond, WA) to the Red hook brewery (Woodinville, WA)
5.8 miles of a bike ride northbound from Marymoor park in Redmond, WA to the Red hook brewary in Woodinville, WA.
The ride is mostly on the Sammamish river trail which is 10.9-mile (17.5 km) long. The trail is flat in general and goes from Redmond in the south all the way up north to Blyth Park in Bothell, WA. It also connects in the north to the Burke-Gilman trail which continues into Seattle, WA

Let's Bike SR 520 Trail - Seattle to Velodrome
For my first big video of 2018, I decided to ride the entire SR 520 Trail from its western end in Seattle all the way to Redmond and the velodrome in Marymoor Park. I want to show how convenient it is to get from one end to the other.
The SR 520 Trail runs 11.1 miles alongside State Road 520 from the Seattle end of the Evergreen Point floating bridge to the Sammamish River Trail in Redmond. It is a paved trail that is street-free except for a 1.3 mile bike lane section in Bellevue and has rolling hills. Of course, at the end is Marymoor Park which features the Jerry Baker Memorial Velodrome, a cycling racetrack with banked curves that just has to be seen (and ridden, as you will see in my pathetic attempt).
The trail provides direct access between the cities of Seattle, Bellevue, and Redmond. Bike routes and trails that connect or run close to the SR 520 Trail include: Lake Washington Loop, Burke-Gilman Trail, Cross Kirkland Corridor, Bridle Crest Trail, Sammamish River Trail, Redmond Central Connector, Marymoor Connector, West Lake Sammamish Trail/Parkway Bike Route, East Lake Sammamish Trail, and Bear Creek Trail.
The SR 520 Trail also runs through the heart of Microsoft's headquarters and past the campus for Nintendo of America (I've always been a Nintendo fan).

Burke-Gilman Trail Missing Link
The Burke Gilman Trail is a 20 mile Rails-to-Trails Hall of Fame regional trail that runs continuous from Golden Gardens Park in Seattle to the Sammamish River Trail in Bothell, except for a 1.2 mile section in the Ballard neighborhood now termed the Missing Link.

East Lake Sammamish Trail
Once complete the East Lake Sammamish Trail will run from Redmond to Issaquah, WA, and could soon connect to the Eastside Rail Corridor.

The population was 54,144 at the 2010 census, up from 45,256 in 2000 census. Redmond is commonly recognized as the home of both Microsoft and Nintendo of America. With an annual bike race on city streets and the state's only velodrome, Redmond is also known as the Bicycle Capital of the Northwest.

Snowy SR 520 Trail Ride Across Lake Washington
This is a short video of biking across the new SR 520 Trail Bridge across Lake Washington while it was snowing on Christmas Eve. I should mention: my favorite weather condition for riding is through snow flurries.
I biked from Bellevue to Seattle across the Evergreen Point Floating Bridge which is the longest floating bridge in the world. The visibility was poor, and the trail was starting to get covered in snow, but the ride was amazing.
After crossing the bridge and seeing the state of the roads, I decided to head to the Link light rail station at the University of Washington to make my way home. Of course, after I made this decision, I ended up slipping and falling once (no worries, I only had a minor bruise since the impact against the ground was on a diagonal)! Since I filmed this incident on both my front and back cameras, I chose to go split-screen for this. Next time, I'll ride my hybrid bike which is more suited for slippery terrain than my road bike.
