We took a last minute detour into San Antonio because we were just too worn out and beat up by the Guadalupe River Float with Fam ( THAT VLOG ALSO POSTED - PLEASE CHECK IT OUT)
We didn't have much of a plan but we knew we didn't want to do the typical River Walk / Pay for overpriced parking or food.
I remembered El Mercado from a time I visited San Antonio some years back and the VIBES are Still there... Glad we stumbled across it, it was Jillian's first Market experience. Lots of good Vibes. Great Micheladas and Elote!
We also Met up with a longtime friend at a classic hidden gem of a restaurant called La Fogata!

San Antonio - City Video Guide
San Antonio, in Texas, is close to the Mexican border. Old Spanish missions surround this river settlement. About 28 million people visit San Antonio each year to experience its Latin-style atmosphere. The main attractions are the famous Riverwalk and historically significant Alamo fortress, a symbol of proud defiance.
The old town, with its winding paths and arched bridges, is best explored on foot. Watertaxis, vintage buses and trolleys also shuttle visitors around. San Antonio's constant buzz is best enjoyed in lively hubs such as La Villita and Market Square. Bands often play at riverside amphitheaters and restaurants.
The dwellings in the Institute Of Texan Cultures provide a glimpse of early life in the Southwest. Those keen to see history through the eyes of artists should browse the San Antonio Museum of Art. Find more art in the Witte Museum, in Brackenridge Park, which also has a children's playground. Kids will also love the nearby San Antonio Zoo.
Some of San Antonio's most-visited parks are the Natural Bridge Caverns, Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch, the Botanical Gardens and Japanese Tea Gardens.
The views from the Tower Of The Americas are best when San Antonio's sparkling lights stretch out under the night's sky.

this monument commemorates the sacrifice of the Texan defenders of the Alamo. It was erected in 1936.
It stands on Alamo Plaza, the site of the battlefield.

Started from San Antonio TX (NW Side), drove down I-10 to Fort Stockton. Took 285 North to the New Mexico Border and passed through Carlsbad, Artesia, Roswell and once I reached Cline's Corner turned west onto I-40 to Abq. Went by Walters White House from Breaking Bad since I was in the area. Rested up for the night in Albuquerque and then headed west on I-40 passing Flagstaff and heading towards Neveda (this was a longer route to Utah). Once I reached Kingman, AZ I headed north on 93 to the Hoover Dam and took a few pics then headed to Las Vegas and took a quick detour onto the Strip. From there I got back on I-15 north towards Utah. I eventually arrived in St. George, UT and ate then headed onto Hurricane, Utah where I stopped. From Hurricane Zion National Park is a quick drive but I did not film that section.

Road Trip #370 - I-10 East - Texas Mile 720 to 734 - with Detours (Brookshire)
We continue East on I-10 and US-90 begining in Sealy, Texas in Austin County, and then passing through the town of San Felipe. We run into some heavy traffic due to construction, so we utilize the service road (legally) to bypass some of it. We cross the Brazos River into Waller county, and then exit again, following US-90 into the city of Brookshire. We cross to the north side of the interstate here and then re-enter I-10 at the eastern end of the construction project. We conclude at Exit 734. We're now getting into the Houston Metropolitan Area. I-10 becomes the Katy Freeway where we cross into Waller County.
