On June 13, 2014, San Antonio Debuted “San Antonio | The Saga,” A Captivating Video Art Installation On The Magnificent Façade Of San Fernando Cathedral. Created By Renowned French Artist, Xavier De Richemont, This 7,000-Sq.-Ft. Projection With Custom Choreographed Music In Surround Sound Narrates The Historical Discovery, Settlement And Development Of San Antonio. Now The Seventh-Largest City In The Nation, San Antonio Is A Pivotal Location In The Story And Identity Of The United States And North America.
This 24-Minute Journey Is Renowned Painter And Video Artist Xavier De Richemont’s First Outdoor Video Art Installation In The United States. His Public Installations Can Be Seen In France, Germany, Spain, Morocco, Mexico, And Canada.

June 13th, 2014, the Main Plaza Conservancy of San Antonio, Tx unveiled a unique video installation telling the history of the city of San Antonio, Projected on 7,000 sq ft of the facade of San Fernando Cathedral, artist Javier de Richemont has created his first unique United States exhibit. San Antonio is a pivotal location in the story and identity of the United States and it's history is told in this fascinating 24 minute artistic video. The visuals are complimented by surround sound music evoking the spirit of the scene.

Everyone knows about the Alamo but, at the center of the city is a well preserved gem, one of the oldest church in USA, the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria y Guadalupe. More commonly know as the as the San Antonio Cathedral. Texas is full of history and downtown San Antonio is no exception. The San Fernando Cathedral was built in the 1700s but, has undergone impressive restorations and looks amazing. However today it is known for the saga or San Fernando Cathedral Light Show. This is a visually stunning laser show created by french renowned artist Xavier de Richemont to drive more people to the heart of the city.

The Alamo. San Antonio Texas. Lest we forget. I was honored to visit The Alamo in San Antonio TX in September 2019. It was humbling to pay our respects to the fallen heroes who defended The Alamo so courageously in 1836. We also left our donation for restoration/preservation, and remembered The Alamo was important long before the defeat in March 1836. I hope you enjoy my voice over of the history points and my footage I captured while visiting The Alamo.

This was my first time in San Antonio Texas and I loved it. A very beautiful place with nice historical buildings and natural beauty. In this video i visited The Alamo, The River Walk, The cathedral of San Fernando, La Villita and also enjoyed an amazing light show called The Saga at the cathedral.

The San Antonio Saga is an outdoor light show projected onto San Antonio's San Fernando Cathedral in the city's downtown Main Plaza. Created by artist Xavier de Richemont, the work depicts the history of San Antonio. San Fernando Cathedral was founded in 1731 and is Texas' oldest churches. It will be forever tied to the Alamo-era. Jim Bowie was married there and Santa Anna hoisted the flag of no-quarter from its rooftop. Church-lore states that a crypt in the cathedral holds some of the remains of the Alamo defenders.

El Mercado - San Antonio, Texas in 4K
El Mercado (Market Square) is a three-block outdoor plaza lined with shops, and restaurants in downtown San Antonio, Texas. Market Square is the largest Mexican market in the United States. The El Mercado section has 32 specialty shops and the Farmer's Market Plaza section has 80. Mi Tierra Cafe Y Panaderia and La Margarita Mexican Restaurant & Oyster Bar are the major eateries, but snack and specialty foods are available at other shops.
The El Mercado building was built as a Works Progress Administration project during 1938-1939 after the existing municipal market house (known as the Giles building) was torn down. The new building was originally named the Municipal Truck Market, but locals commonly called it the Farmer's Market, as farmer's sold their produce straight from their trucks inside the open air building. In 1975, the last produce was sold there, and the market house underwent renovation to convert it into an enclosed air-conditioned mercado.
