Fantastic San Juan Islands (Friday Harbor)
We had a lovely couple of days at the San Juan Island, and Friday Harbor. Took the F250 and Ferry from Anacortes.
Stayed in a lovely B&B, Argyle House B&B then two trips with Maya's Legacy tours, and had a great time.
Photographing wild creatures is always difficult but we did our best and had a great time.

VISITING SAN JUAN ISLANDS
VISITING SAN JUAN ISLANDS covers the behaviors of tourists and/or future resident of the San Juans. In the center of town, in the middle of the street is where tourists like to stop and display their mastery of the relaxed lifestyle by going as slow as possible and not using the crosswalk. After homage is then to the Eagle and Whale, put on your Patagonia puffy coat, for a morning stroll through the farmers market, imagining that one day you will move to Friday Harbor, raise sheep and make wool sweaters by hand. Washington State Ferry Terminal - Anacortes Washington Visitor Information Video
Anacortes Washington is the gateway city to the San Juan islands in Northwest Washington due to its major Washington State Ferry Terminal. The Washington State Ferry terminal in Anacortes offers regular service to the major San Juan Islands including Lopez Island, Orcas Island, and Friday Harbor on San Juan Island.
This video is an original work created from photo I took in Anacortes along with graphics and titles I created on my computer.

Lopez Farm Cottages and Tent Camping, Gourmet Campgrounds Video
Of all the San Juan Islands, Lopez Island is truly the most unique. It is like stepping back in the past with all the old farms, hay fields, sheep and cattle pastures and open views to the surrounding waters and snow capped mountains.
Don't be surprised when people wave to you, it's a long standing tradition. It is one of the reasons Lopez is known as the friendly island. Because the pace is slower on Lopez the residents are typically referred to by other islanders as Slowpezians.
Lopez Island is also recognized as the bicycling island because of its gentle terrain with no major hills. The annual Tour de Lopez event is held on the last weekend in April and is so popular that Washington State runs a special ferry to accommodate all the bicyclists.
Even on Lopez Island location is critical. We are at the north end of the Island, 2.6 miles from the ferry landing, directly across from the Lopez Winery & Vineyards and less than one mile to Lopez Village where you will find excellent restaurants, the Village Market with fresh everything, Holly B's famous Bakery, coffee shops and more.
Lopez Farm Cottages & Tent Camping is a 30 acre facility designed for a small but special market...couples and singles.
For the comfort of our guests we do not accept: children, pets, RV's, camper vans or electronic music. We have the only camping showers on Lopez Island.

HVAC|Heating & Air Conditioning|All about|Contractor|Trane|Friday Harbor WA
Trane matched systems can be customized with heating and cooling units that work best for your situation and let you choose the energy efficiency. Every Trane is tested to withstand the harshest conditions nature or our engineers can throw at it – like freezing conditions in our System Extreme Environmental Test (SEET) lab or five-inches of water an hour in our Climate Chamber. That's how we get heating and cooling systems you can count on to run through anything. Take the time to research special savings and offers, Trane HVAC rebates and options for consumer financing. Trane has long been the world's largest producer of the massive chillers in commercial air conditioning systems. In the interest of combining air comfort with air purity, we make whole-house air filtration systems that remove up to 99.98 percent of particles and allergens from the air in your home. Professors from the Harvard School of Public Health verified that these filtration systems are 1,000 times more effective than a standard one-inch filter. Technology like that makes Trane the residential market's leader in indoor air quality, a leadership position we're committed to keeping. Within the North American market, homeowners buy our Trane residential systems at a rate that averages out to one sale every minute of every day. That's a vote of confidence in us.

Friday Harbor is a town in San Juan County, Washington, United States. Located on San Juan Island, it is the major commercial center of the San Juan Islands archipelago. In 1845 the Hudson Bay Company laid claim to San Juan Island. In 1850 they built a salmon curing station. A few years later they started a sheep farm. The harbor got its name from Joseph Poalie. Friday, a Kanaka - a native Hawaiian man who worked at the Hudson's Bay Company's Cowlitz farm from 1841 to 1859-60. He moved north to San Juan Island and raised sheep around the harbor. Friday Harbor was officially incorporated on February 10, 1909. It is the only incorporated town in the San Juan Islands. The Great Depression, World War II, the pea weevil, and competition from Eastern Washington growers brought about the decline of traditional island industries. Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) is the technology of indoor and vehicular environmental comfort. Its goal is to provide thermal comfort and acceptable indoor air quality. HVAC system design is a subdiscipline of mechanical engineering, based on the principles of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer. HVAC is an important part of residential structures such as single family homes, apartment buildings, hotels and senior living facilities, medium to large industrial and office buildings such as skyscrapers and hospitals, on ships and submarines, and in marine environments, where safe and healthy building conditions are regulated with respect to temperature and humidity, using fresh air from outdoors. Trane began with our founder, James Trane, a Norwegian immigrant who opened his own plumbing shop in La Crosse, WI, in 1885. We're applying Trane's expertise in environmental technology and energy conservation to make a difference in energy efficiency around the globe.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
Seattle ( (listen) see-AT-əl) is a seaport city on the West Coast of the United States. It is the seat of King County, Washington. With an estimated 730,000 residents as of 2018, Seattle is the largest city in both the state of Washington and the Pacific Northwest region of North America. According to U.S. Census data released in 2018, the Seattle metropolitan area’s population stands at 3.87 million, and ranks as the 15th largest in the United States. In July 2013, it was the fastest-growing major city in the United States and remained in the Top 5 in May 2015 with an annual growth rate of 2.1%. In July 2016, Seattle was again the fastest-growing major U.S. city, with a 3.1% annual growth rate. Seattle is the northernmost large city in the United States.
The city is situated on an isthmus between Puget Sound (an inlet of the Pacific Ocean) and Lake Washington, about 100 miles (160 km) south of the Canada–United States border. A major gateway for trade with Asia, Seattle is the fourth-largest port in North America in terms of container handling as of 2015.The Seattle area was inhabited by Native Americans for at least 4,000 years before the first permanent European settlers. Arthur A. Denny and his group of travelers, subsequently known as the Denny Party, arrived from Illinois via Portland, Oregon, on the schooner Exact at Alki Point on November 13, 1851. The settlement was moved to the eastern shore of Elliott Bay and named Seattle in 1852, in honor of Chief Si'ahl of the local Duwamish and Suquamish tribes.
Logging was Seattle's first major industry, but by the late 19th century, the city had become a commercial and shipbuilding center as a gateway to Alaska during the Klondike Gold Rush. Growth after World War II was partially due to the local Boeing company, which established Seattle as a center for aircraft manufacturing. The Seattle area developed into a technology center from the 1980s onwards with companies like Microsoft becoming established in the region; Microsoft founder Bill Gates is a Seattleite by birth. Internet retailer Amazon was founded in Seattle in 1994, and major airline Alaska Airlines was founded in SeaTac, Washington, serving Seattle's international airport, Seattle–Tacoma International Airport. The stream of new software, biotechnology, and Internet companies led to an economic revival, which increased the city's population by almost 50,000 between 1990 and 2000.
Seattle has a noteworthy musical history. From 1918 to 1951, nearly two dozen jazz nightclubs existed along Jackson Street, from the current Chinatown/International District to the Central District. The jazz scene nurtured the early careers of Ray Charles, Quincy Jones, Ernestine Anderson, and others. Seattle is also the birthplace of rock musician Jimi Hendrix, as well as the origin of the bands Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Foo Fighters and the alternative rock movement grunge.
