Hiking Sand Dune Arch, Arches NP (HD)
Sand Dune Arch is located in the northern region of Arches National Park, Utah. It is a favorite for families with kids, as the entire trail once within the large sandstone fins is literally finer than beach sand, creating a fun place for kids of all ages. Round trip hike is only 0.3 miles. If you wish to visit this arch and want to have peace and quiet, go early in the morning. When we hiked to the arch, there must have been about 50 kids playing in its vicinity, which made it difficult to take any pictures without anyone directly in the photo. Still, it is an arch worth checking out!

Klondike Bluffs and Tower Arch, Arches National Park, Utah
Klondike Bluffs has long been a popular mountain biking area. All of the trails are also open to hikers. The area offers exceptional views into Arches National Park and unique paleontological and mining history.
Located in this remote area, Tower Arch is a wonderful desert hike that will require about 3 hours round trip. The route is 1 1/2 miles each way across open desert. Elevation gain on this hike is minor. This route should be easy for most healthy hikers.
Arches National Park - Hiking the Devils Garden - Utah - LeAw in the USA //Ep.33
We are living the American dream driving the Historic Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica but we are doing some detours to visit some places we like.
In this 33rd episode, we visit Arches National Park and hike the Devil's Garden Trail. Enjoy the ride with us! ;)
Arches National Park is a national park in eastern Utah, United States. The park is adjacent to the Colorado River, 4 miles (6 km) north of Moab, Utah. More than 2,000 natural sandstone arches are located in the park, including the well-known Delicate Arch, as well as a variety of unique geological resources and formations. The park contains the highest density of natural arches in the world.
The park consists of 76,679 acres (119.811 sq mi; 31,031 ha; 310.31 km2) of high desert located on the Colorado Plateau. The highest elevation in the park is 5,653 feet (1,723 m) at Elephant Butte, and the lowest elevation is 4,085 feet (1,245 m) at the visitor center. The park receives an average of less than 10 inches (250 mm) of rain annually.
Administered by the National Park Service, the area was originally named a national monument on April 12, 1929, and was redesignated as a national park on November 12, 1971. The park is expected to receive 1.8 million visitors in 2018.
The Devil’s Garden Trail is the longest and most difficult maintained trail in Arches National Park – and it’s also one of the most fun. Once you get past the early sections you’ll be scrambling up and overlong, narrow sandstone fins (future arches!), ducking under and crawling through existing arches, and trekking through ruggedly beautiful backcountry that few of the more casual tourists in Arches will ever get to see.
The trail begins at the end of Devil’s Garden Road, which is literally the end of the paved road in Arches National Park.

Devil's Garden - Arches National Park (Main Trail)
The Devil's Garden trail in Arches National Park is consistently named as one of the best trails in North America. Unlike many other premiere hiking experiences Devil's Garden has something to offer just about everybody, of every skill level.
Hiking to Landscape Arch (considered to be the world's largest free standing arch, and the most popular sight in Devil's Garden) is a mere 1.6 mile walk out and back, but hiking the full loop (primitive trail included) is a strenuous and spectacular 7.2+ miles through one of the world's most mesmerizing desert landscapes.
Be safe. Some areas of Devil's Garden can be dangerous especially when icy or wet.
Please stay on the trail, and leave ABSOLUTELY NO TRACE. Including carved initials/symbols. Arches is sadly one of the most vandalized Wild Spaces in North America. Defacing any part of the park is illegal, and more importantly damages something truly special. Please leave everything as you found it.

Park Avenue, Arches National Park, Utah
The Park Avenue Viewpoint is one of the first major stops in Arches National Park. From the viewpoint you can continue hiking the Park Avenue Trail that descends quickly and steeply into a beautiful canyon and takes you through the Avenue area to the Courthouse Towers. This hike gives you a spectacular feel of Arches' sandstone formations. You start at the parking area and walk 1 mile through what is appropriately named to represent a sandstone feel of the big city. At the end of the hike (Courthouse Towers parking) you will have a great view of the Three Gossips, North Avenue, Tower of Babel and more! However, it is not necessary to take the hike to see these views.
Arches Park Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about nature park Arches Park in the USA.
Around 8 kilometres north of the small town of Moab in the State of Utah, is the entrance to one of the most famous national parks in the United States, Arches Park, a national park that owes its remarkable popularity to its gigantic sandstone arches of which there are approximately 2000. Covering 300 square kilometres, the park is relatively small but it is one of the USA’s most popular nature reservations. From Courthouse Towers with its outstanding rock formations there’s a 38 kilometre panoramic route known as Scenic Drive that takes in the rocky sand dunes of Petrified Dunes which are evidence that the park owes much of its geological phenomena to its famous stone arches. Balanced Rock is one of the park’s main attractions. Weighing around 3,600 tons, the sandstone rock balances precipitously at a height of 22 metres supported on a fragile looking foundation. Close to Cache Valley is the massive, isolated stone structure of Delicate Arch. Although it appears to be fragile it has been proudly standing close to the nearby valley since prehistoric times. The Devil’s Garden Trailhead leads to a large collection of the most beautiful stone arches. With the passage of time, ice forced apart the softer layers of stone and countless years of relentless erosion created these natural arches along with all the other bizarre rock formations of the plateau. Created by the two elements of water and air that have cut deep into the sandstone, Tunnel Arch is the first arch that can be seen when walking through “Devil’s Garden”. This natural stone arch is so smooth that it could easily be compared with a modern Man-made tunnel. A few metres away there’s another small opening in the rock wall, Tunnel Arch, where the surrounding vegetation creates a romantic ‘Wild West’ atmosphere. In this incredible land of sandstone arches, the fascinating rock formations and unique beauty of Arches Park is surely one of the most spectacular sights in the natural world.
