Four Points Sheraton Cocoa Beach & The Cocoa Beach Surf Company (Tour and Review)
The night before our last Disney cruise from Port Canaveral we stayed at the Four Points Sheraton in Cocoa Beach which is part of the Cocoa Beach Surf Company building. What a fantastic concept as the hotel lobby and restaurant is adjacent to the surf shop.
This hotel is located just a few blocks to the beach and a short distance to the cruise port. We really enjoyed walking around the area which includes Ron Jon Surf Shop which is right next door and the Cocoa Beach Pier is just down the road. With everything going on around it, this has to be one of the best places to stay in Cocoa Beach.
The hotel rooms are clean and spacious, parking is easy in their parking garage and the food is good at their on-site restaurant. There is even a Starbucks to go along with the hotel and surf shop.
The Sheraton Four Points Cocoa Beach is perfect for an overnight stay as well as a beach weekend. We paid less than $100 for our one-night stay and thought the hotel was a really good value for the money. You can be sure that we will be back to spend more time here.

People gather near Cocoa Beach pier after Dorian passes
A light rain shower that soaked the beach near the Cocoa Beach pier Wednesday afternoon did not sway people from gathering on the sand and in the water.
Fantastic shoreline here at Cocoa Beach Florida
So glad we had our video camera to take a nice shot of the beach scene here. Wow, we loved our trip and stay at the Cocoa Beach Best Western. Yeah, this is a winner of a beachtown that has the best surfing to watch, happy hours, a super pier, and Ron Jons Surf Shop! You can also park at Shepard Beach Park if you are just coming to hit the beach for the day. The parking lot is one street behind Ron Jons. Hope that helps.
Jetty Park Beach | Cape Canaveral, FL
Jetty Park is one the best beaches on Florida's Space Coast because it is jam-packed with amenities and things to do as well as being directly located next to Port Canaveral, making it the ideal beach for when you are going on a cruise. It has wide open sugar sand beaches, a 1200' fishing pier, a large concession building with food and drinks, beach rentals, bathrooms, showers, and even a campground. Like I said, jam-packed. This is the ideal beach to take the family for a day at the beach before your next cruise vacation from Port Canaveral.

“Missiletown USA” as it was known in the 50’s and 60’s because of its proximity to the space center. In the mid 1900’s, Cocoa Beach was built around one industry, the American space program, but settlers have actually lived there since the late 1500’s.

Lifeguards were stopping people from going into the water, except surfers.

Hands Across The Sand Cocoa Beach, Florida Feb.13 2010
Filmed and Edited by Dr. Diana Wehrell-Grabowski. Hands Across The Sand event took place across the entire state of Florida on February 13th, 2010. The event was a peaceful protest to raise awareness about pending Florida legislation to drill for oil in Florida's waters. Thousands of individuals young and old, and from all walks of life met at designated beach and coastal waterways. At 1:30 pm statewide participants at each location held hands to form a human chain as a sign of solidarity against the drilling of oil in Florida's waters. Cocoa Beach Surfrider Foundation was the organizer and host of the event that took place @ Lori Wilson Park in Cocoa Beach. Three hundred individuals braved the cold and wind as they participated in a beach clean-up prior to forming the human chain along the shoreline. Thanks to all the individuals who participated in this event, and for all the volunteers involved in making the event a success. Thanks to Channel 13 and Florida Today for covering the event. A group of 20+ UCF students from the IDEAS environmental group also participated in the event.
