Teaching and Traveling in China - 2012

This summer, as I have in the past, I presented a two week workshop to Chinese high school and middle school teachers of English. This summer the classes were held in the Lecong Town, Foshan District, Guangdong Province Primary School.

Sightseeing includes Dinghu Mountain Park. It's located to the east of Zhaoqing, about 2 hours by bus from Guangzhou. It is one of the four famous mountains in Guangdong Province. That weekend we also visited Lotus World. Located in Sanshui District in Foshan City, Lotus World is the largest lotus ecological theme park in the world.

After the workshop was over I visited the National Forest Park in the Wulingyuan Scenic Area in Hunan Province. The mountains in this region served as models for the fantastic topography depicted in the movie, Avatar. My guide for three days was David (Chinese name Nie Bai, contact zjjtrip@hotmail.com). Custom Design and Carving a Logo Seal for Wabi Kai Bonsai Club in Pennsylvania

This seal is commissioned by Wabi Kai(侘会) a bonsai club in Pennsylvania. The name of the club Wabi is derived from the Japanese aesthetic term Wabi-sabi 侘寂
which means imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete.
It is a beauty of things modest and humble. I did this seal to reflect that kind of feeling.

4)After your approval of the preview design, I will actually carve the stone seal and the process will be recorded on video camera and posted on Youtube.
5) I will finish your seal within three working days in the USA and mailed it with a nice brocade silk box.
