Why New Mexico Ranches
Why New Mexico Ranches?
Most future ranch owners have the opportunity to pick which State or location they want their ranch. There are many factors that go into that decision. Whether your looking for a working ranch, luxury ranch, fishing ranch, mountain, desert or even a spread on the Great American Plains, Northern New Mexico is the ideal location.
Santa Fe, NM unlike Montana, Colorado, Texas and other locations is not widely thought of first when it comes to picking a ranch. But celebrities like Jane Fonda, Don Imus and Gene Hackman have picked Northern NM because it is one of the few locations in the country that combines culture, history and activities in an almost perfect climate. Where else within one hour of the main business district can you find large or small ranches ranging in price from $2-35 million with every possible feature imaginable. That’s right within one hour of Santa Fe’s Historical Plaza, you have unique shopping, world renown art galleries, gambling, snow skiing, white water rafting, big game hunting, fly fishing, alpine hiking, thousands of miles of horseback trails, world class dining as good as New York City and an outdoor opera company that is rated one of the best in the US. The answer is nowhere, but Santa Fe. The area in and around Santa Fe, with its elevation of 7,000 feet, is made up of both high desert and mountainous areas with rivers synonymous with the Old West like the Rio Grande, the Pecos running straight through the area for miles and miles.
Santa Fe’s average high temperature in August is a mild 83 degrees and the evenings typically range in the high 50’s which makes the time by the fireplace as enjoyable in the summer as it is in the winter. And while the rest of the Country is sticky and humid during most of the summer, Santa Fe enjoys very low humidity which means you actually enjoy the great outdoors even in the middle of the afternoon. Try that sometime in Texas during Labor Day weekend.
And while we get snow in the mountains of Santa Fe and the skiing is great, Santa Fe is not covered to the point you can't still enjoy the other outdoor activities the area and State has to offer. Nor does the white stuff stick around until late May like in those other Northern States.
Come check out what Santa Fe offers the ranch owner looking for it all in one location. And why it is the best kept secret in the West.

9/1/10 Beck points out more radical socialist/Marxists working in the Obama administration
So Democratic Socialists of America's Honorary Chairperson Dolores Huerta, how many poor people did people like Chavez and Castro help? Why are Castro's people getting on a raft to get out? Why is conning people into accepting Marxism not evil? How stupid and/or evil can you get? Why do people follow these rocket scientists? It seems like people don't bother to think anymore, they allow others to do it for them.

How Do Blue and Green Eyes Exist When Those Pigments Are Not Found in the Human Eye?
A Genius Among Us
In this video:
Born on August 22, 1930 in Temple, Texas, Forrest Fenn did not begin his life wealthy, with his father working to support the family via a job as a principal at a local school. Things would change, however, during the latter half of his life thanks to a love of exploring and collecting various artifacts. His first such object was a simple arrow head he found when he was nine years old, something he still has to this day some eight decades later. Said Fenn, “I was exhilarated and it started me on a lifelong adventure of discovering and collecting things.”
