Best Hmong Homestay in Sapa, Vietnam! (Zizi's Homestay)
This is part 2 of our Sapa trip.
I have to say this is one of the best homestays that we've been to so far. If you really want to experience local authentic food and culture then this is probably your best bet. Enjoy this video! I tried my best to put subtitles. It was pretty complicated because of their dialect.

Erin and Davey are American expats living in Luxembourg. Together, these college sweethearts caught the travel bug while studying abroad in Florence, Italy. Over the past 15 years, they've established home bases in Boston, San Francisco and Los Angeles while traveling to many international destinations. This vlog is a way to share their adventures with friends and family and it's also a time capsule for when they're old and grey.

VIETNAM - 12 KM trekking in Sapa Vietnam 2019 [4K] ????????
Half day trekking (12km) in Sapa Vietnam together with Red Dzao and Black Hmong ethnic minorities downhill to Muong Hoa Valley, passing through Y Linh Ho, Lao Chai and Ta Van village. Enjoy these splendid views of the rice terraces and authentic Vietnamese people and their villages !
TREKKING THE RICE TERRACES OF TA VAN TO SAPA (IN UNDER 2 MINUTES) - SAPA, VIETNAM
The trek from Ta Van Village to Sapa took us on paved and unpaved paths through mountains, jungles and rice terraces.
During the 5 hour hike our senses were treated to an overload of new sensations.
From the fresh mountain air to the array of beautiful hues of color to the distant voices of Hmong families harvesting rice, the entire experience had us wide eyed, ears open and jaws dropped in fascination.
Near the end of the route prior to arriving back to Sapa, you can wander through Cat Cat Village, a rather tourist minded souvenir-heavy village that may or may not be as authentic as one would imagine; albeit still magnificent for i's architecture, babbling brooks, waterfalls and giant electric-hydro powered wheels.

SaPa, Vietnam -- Trekking & Homestay
Leaving Hanoi on the day Typhoon Haiyan was supposed to strike down upon the city, I was very thankful my initial plans to see Sapa were still intact (although I worried for the Vietnamese that might be in its direct path). Later, I would learn that by the time Haiyan struck Hanoi, it had been downgraded from the Cat 5 it was in the Phillipines to a tropical depression. The country certainly dodged a bullet and I lived to tell the tale along with everyone else. Anyways, back to my journey into the Sapa Highlands of northern Vietnam near the Chinese border....completely amazing. Perfect weather I had (although hot and humid at times) along with some amazing memories staying with a tribal family in the area...as authentic an experience as one could have! I highly recommend the organization Sapa O'Chau to maximize your time in Sa Pa, Vietnam. You won't regret it. When I look back upon my life years from now, I am certain my time here in Sapa will go down as one of my top travel memories of my entire lifetime!
Topas Ecolodge a National Geographic - Unique Lodge of the World located in Sapa, Vietnam.
Tucked beneath the misty mountains of Sapa Valley in northern Vietnam, Topas Ecolodge sits above two majestic cone-formed hills. Based on sustainable principles, the lodge aims to have a minimum impact on the surrounding environment, employs local people, and uses local products in order to bring economic benefits to the community. The sophisticated chalet-style bungalows are dotted near the peak of the two hills, each with a balcony for a private head-in-the-clouds encounter and to make the most of the unique location. Built with local white granite, the Tay stilt design and lacquered wood panels provide a truly authentic Vietnamese village atmosphere, so guests feel fully immersed in local life. An on-site restaurant serves up local fare, and there’s a new heated infinity pool where guests can unwind.
Trekking my ass off to our Homestay - Sapa, Vietnam
We meet up with our Hmong guide, Sue.... well, actually Sue's mother (who's quite the trekking badass) infront of the ever so famous Holy Rosary Church in Sapa, where we begin our long arduous trek to her homestay.
The trekking experience is unreal, nothing but mountain vibes and beautiful countryside. I highly encourage everyone to definitely take a trip out to Sapa to see the wonders of this place.
