Sauk Mountain Hike
This is a short video of a great day hike near Rockport, WA. The trail is in good condition with a few spots of loose rock/sand but overall a fairly easy walk and probably suitable for ages 10+. At the top, you'll be rewarded with spectacular vistas of the north cascades and west to the San Juan Islands.

Sauk Mountain Hike Vlog
Hey YouTube!
Join me in this video as I venture to the very top of Sauk Mountain in the North Cascades with my good friend ,Gabriel! All the way up the 1.3 miles of switchbacks to reach 5,540' above sea level where there are mountains as far as your eyes can see.
This is truly a beautiful hike for how short it is. But because the trail consists mainly of steep switchbacks, it's not for the faint of heart. However I can guarantee you that the reward at the top is definitely worth the climb!

Paragliding World Cup: Chelan, WA
Some of the best conditions in the world for paragliding are located in Lake Chelan, Washington, so naturally it was host to one of the events of the Paragliding World Cup. Roughly 30 countries were represented at this week long event. The thermal updraft off of the Lake Chelan Butte creates the perfect launch zone to paraglide over the vast open spaces of Eastern Washington. Doug Stroop, the event organizer, explains that once the course line is chosen, they wait for the time of day when conditions are optimal. Invisible, warm columns of air that are moving up, known as thermals, are what allow the paragliders to spin in circles. Competitors are awarded points for flying the fastest on the course from Chelan Butte to Almira which is 90 miles east. There are Paragliding World Cup events held all over the world which culminate into a super final to determine the ultimate champion.

Milwaukee: A City Built on Water | Program |
[Original Airdate: April 22, 2015]
Historian John Gurda explores how the Milwaukee River and Lake Michigan spurred Milwaukee's growth. The settlers used rivers and Lake Michigan to transport grain, lumber, leather and beer, but water was just as important for play as it was for work. Gurda explains how the Milwaukee River became a destination for fun. Learn how the lower Milwaukee River was eventually reduced to an open sewer by 1900, with Lake Michigan suffering similar indignities. Only in recent decades have the currents turned for the better. From the Milwaukee River Greenway to the reborn Menomonee Valley to the cultural theme park on our downtown lakefront, the patterns of the past are being reversed, providing cause for celebration as well as concern.

Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding

SUMMARY
=======
Chicago ( (listen), locally also ), officially the City of Chicago, is the third most populous city in the United States. As of the 2017 census-estimate, Chicago has a population of 2,716,450, which makes it the most populous city in both the state of Illinois and the Midwestern United States. It is the county seat of Cook County, the second most populous county in the United States. Chicago is the principal city of the Chicago metropolitan area, which is often referred to as Chicagoland. The Chicago metropolitan area has nearly 10 million people, is the third-largest in the United States, the fourth largest in North America, and the third largest metropolitan area in the world by land area.
Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, Chicago was incorporated as a city in 1837 near a portage between the Great Lakes and the Mississippi River watershed and grew rapidly in the mid-nineteenth century. After the Great Chicago Fire of 1871, which destroyed several square miles and left more than 100,000 homeless, the city made a concerted effort to rebuild. The construction boom accelerated population growth throughout the following decades, and by 1900 Chicago was one of the five largest cities in the world. During this period, Chicago made noted contributions to urban planning and zoning standards, including new construction styles (including the Chicago School of architecture), the development of the City Beautiful Movement, and the steel-framed skyscraper.Chicago is an international hub for finance, commerce, industry, technology, telecommunications, and transportation. It was the site of the creation of the first standardized futures contracts at the Chicago Board of Trade, which today is the largest and most diverse derivatives market in the world, generating 20% of all volume in commodities and financial futures. O'Hare International Airport is the one of the busiest airports in the world, and the region also has the largest number of U.S. highways and railroad freight. In 2012, Chicago was listed as an alpha global city by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network, and it ranked seventh in the entire world in the 2017 Global Cities Index. Chicago has the fourth-largest gross metropolitan product in the world—generating about $670.5 billion according to September 2017 estimates—ranking it after the metropolitan areas of Tokyo, New York City, and Los Angeles, and ranking ahead of number five London and number six ...
