Drew Campbell Heroics at Scarborough Downs
Scarborough Downs' back stretch camera captures top harness racing driver Drew Campbell display true heroism, horsemanship (and flexibility!), as he grabs Sids Drama after horse and driver Kevin Pillsbury get separated in the first turn. When Campbell's horse makes a break at the half-mile point, Campbell realizes he's the only hope to catch the driverless horse, which he does at the 3/4 mile. The 2-minute race concludes with Campbell safely returning Sids Drama to handlers all the while expertly driving his own horse, GoodGirl GoneBad. Note how Sids Drama stays on the pace even without a driver!
David Ingraham Attacks Track Record Scarborough Downs Open Trot MAINE ACCIDENT Walter Case Jr
June 26 1988 SUPER DON in his 6th lifetime start at age 12; goes for the track record at Scarboro Downs with David Ingraham in the sulky. He shipped to Bangor Raceway the following week to lock horns with INDIANAPOLIS in his next two starts; finishing 2nd both times: one of which was at that time the track record. You can watch INDIANAPOLIS race in the 1988 Legislator Trot later that year here:
...The Legislator Trot in 1988 carried a purse of $30,000.00 and saw FRIENDLY FACE trot a 1:57 mile; still the track record as of 29 Mar. 2011.

Notice i drop a line getting out of the bike; after the race, and try to fake any such thing having occured. Danny Cyr driving D B POMP gets an ass chewin' from Leigh Fitch after the race for letting me go. It's only easy if all you do is dole out cash to get everything done. Post winner circle antics here:
