School of Surf Mother's Day Surf Clinic Cocoa Beach, Florida May 2013
Lauren and Todd Holland of School of Surf held their first Mother's Day Surf Clinic on Sunday, May 12th, 2013. Mom's enjoyed a light breakfast, then onto the classroom for a one hour lesson on ocean safety, and the how-to's of surfing. The group then headed to the beach, just a short walk from the School of Surf complex. Mom's were given a 1/2 hour yoga lesson on the beach by Kathy Johnson, owner of The Zen Room of Cocoa, Florida. The Mom's then headed out into the water for a one hour surf session. They were paired up with surf instructors from the School of Surf. The day wrapped up with the Mom's enjoying lunch at Coconuts. So this was just truly such an amazing experience. It was our first time surfing, and it was really more like standing and falling, but eventually I caught 2 waves and rode them, but of course no one was around to record, hahah but it's ok, I have Danisha as my witness. . I wish I could do this everyday...

Just me and a few friends catching some admittedly puny waves at cocoa beach. It's a celebration of sorts as our good, long time friend Daniel headed off to boot camp for the USMC a few days after. We're not at all pros at this pass time, we're just having a little fun. Also a test for my Gopro hero 3 and full 1080p resolution.

Every Christmas eve for the last 8 years cocoa beach holds the annual surfing Santa's.This year over 1700 people attended and there where around 800 surfing Santa's. The water temp was 73 and the air temp was 80.Great food, music, costume's and waves. Even Santa showed up along with the Grinch.
NKF Surf Fest 2016 | Cocoa Beach, FL
This year we finally broke the small wave curse at the NKF Surf Festival! We had beautiful weather and some really fun waves all weekend which provided an epic setup for good times and great surfing.
