Dive #2: U.S.S. Indra
USS Indra (ARL-37) was an Achelous class landing craft repair ship, launched on 21 May 1945 and commissioned 2 October 1945. The departed 7 January 1947 for the Far East, arriving in Tsingtao 19 February to support American Marines attempting to stabilize the volatile Chinese situation. She performed repair and general services there and at Shanghai. Indra was decommissioned 6 October, 1947 and entered the Pacific Reserve Fleet. Indra was recommissioned in December 1967, serving as a tender and floating base for the Mobile Riverine Force in Vietnam. Stricken from the Naval Vessel Register in 1989, USS Indra was disposed of by transfer to the State of North Carolina in January 1992. The wreck lies in approximately 65 feet of water.
Wreck dive on Caribsea, Morehead City, NC, sand tiger sharks - 8/13/12
This video was shot on a dive to the Caribsea wreck out of Morehead City, North Carolina with Olympus Divers (great dive outfit), Dive came as an extra day following the Sharkfest 2012 event, which was nearly blown-out due to bad weather. Skies cleared, seas calmed, and several of us stole one extra dive day. It was well-worth the wait! The Caribsea wreck was packed with big sand tiger sharks (6 foot +) - I counted over 40 on this dive alone! You've got to love the sharks circling the descent line with divers coming down...
Tons of smaller sea life, at times so thick it was hard to see. I was joined by dive buddies Mary and Will, who can be seen in quick peeks on this video. Unforgettable dive - can't wait to get back!
Video taken with a handheld GoPro2.

August 2017 Dive Trip - Beaufort, NC
I took a trip down to Beaufort, NC with a friend and his dive club for a weekend of diving. Unfortunately the weather was not the best suited for diving. There had been some storms that came through the area and made visibility poor and the surface was rough.
The club does this dive every summer and goes out with Discovery Diving and their boat, Outrageous V. The staff is friendly and they certainly know what they are doing. I look forward to the next I can go diving with them.
Please pardon the lack of stability in my video. This was my first time using the GoPro underwater and I had forgotten to change the settings on the camera prior to going in the water. The main setting that I forgot to change was the image size, I had it set to linear instead of wide. I also didn't have a filter on the lens to correct the colors. Next time I go diving I will be better prepared.
On this dive the sand was between 60 and 65 feet down and the wreck started around 35 feet down. I believe that this wreck is the U.S.S. Indra. We also dove on the two tug boats that are next to the Indra. I think I accidentally stopped the recording on my camera after getting in the water. Oops. Like I said, this was my first time using my GoPro underwater.
TRIANGLE WRECK NORTH CAROLINA
This was a quick dive 100 yards off the coast of North Carolina. The water was about 70 and then like 55 with the thermacline. I turned off the camera to check if it was on but when I went to turn it back on it never went on. I hope you enjoyed this quick video, any questions feel free to PM me or leave it in the comment section I read everything :)

Underwater North Carolina - The Graveyard of the Atlantic
Welcome to the Graveyard of the Atlantic. America's lesser known scuba diving mecca. Over 2000 shipwrecks lie at the bottom of these treacherous waters, a grim reminder of the perils of the sea.
Yet, among this underwater graveyard, there is beauty. The Gulf Stream current sweeps all manner of tropical marine life onto them. Observe a few of them in their natural habitat and listen to the relaxing, ambient music.
