Current Junkies Liveaboard Scuba trip 2015,Labuan Bajo, Komodo, Flores, Indonesia.
A small glimpse into what it would be like to do a Liveaboard in Komodo.
I highly recommend Current Junkies as your choice for a Liveaboard, great dive master and crew, groups of 4 or 5 or less, great food and you rarely if ever share a dive with another group.

Scuba Junkie Komodo Shark Week 2018
Scuba Junkie Komodo Marine Week 2016
In 2016 Scuba Junkie’s annual Marine Week was spread across 4 locations for the first time ever. Having already hosted incredibly successful Marine Weeks at the Semporna, Kota Kinabalu and Mabul locations, Scuba Junkie Komodo was proud to be taking part in December’s activities.
Komodo National Park is situated in the Coral Triangle, the most bio-diverse diving hotspot in the world. 1733 square kilometres of pristine reefs, home to thousands of species of fish and hundreds of coral species, the National Park is truly one of the great wonders of the underwater world. The aim of the week was to educate and inform people about the myriad of threats facing our coral reefs. This included education about responsible dive practices, marine debris and marine creature interaction.
Over the course of the week we had a variety of presentations, from reef ecology to manta biology to macro critters as well as screening informative documentaries. We continued to engage the local community in beach and reef cleans, in addition to presentations in Bahasa about the importance of reducing plastics entering the marine ecosystem. We welcomed representatives from the Marine Mega Fauna Foundation and Manta Trust. We also conducted a ‘Dive Against Debris’ as part of Project’s AWARE’s continued efforts to clean up marine debris. As well as donating a boat, materials and staff to a large reef clean organised out of Labuan Bajo.
‘Marine Week gives us as dive operators an opportunity to put something back in to community and educate people about environmental issues facing Komodo.’ – said Rohan Perkins, the Director of Scuba Junkie Komodo. ‘Having already been a big part of environmental Marine Weeks in our sister companies, we were truly excited to host what we hope will be the first of many at Scuba Junkie Komodo.’
It was a fantastic week and the enthusiasm shown by everyone who took part was truly inspiring.

UBER SCUBA KOMODO LIVEABOARD KLM AMALIA Trailer - Tom Vierus | Photography & Film
What if you didn’t have to worry about early wake up calls, and long trips to access remote sites? Wouldn’t it be great to go where the day boats can’t? Carry out exploratory dives, and stay at the best spots for as long as you’d like?
For avid divers, the lure of a Komodo liveaboard is undeniable. You go further, avoid the crowds, and are free to dive the top spots day or night. Feel the gentle rocking of the boat as you drift off to sleep under a blanket of stars. Wake up already moored at the best sites in the park. Your morning coffee, and freshly baked bread waiting on deck. You’ll hit the water long before the day boats show up.
Crystal Rock in the early morning is a real treat. You may have had breakfast, but the schools of Grey Sharks are still on the prowl. Hover nearby as these sleek hunters pick out, then pick off, their prey. Meet up with the mantas as we head central. Grab your BCD or Freediving fins and jump in…
Trek across Rinca as we hunt by camera for the legendary Komodo Dragons. We will hike across the hilly paths to the most breathtaking viewpoint, watch as wild boar roam the land and eagle’s take charge of the skies.
We’ll moor off a pristine white sand beach. Take one of our stand up paddleboards to explore the shoreline. Take your snorkel and swim with the thousands of reef fish – just don’t forget your camera!
Or work on your tan and relax on the sun deck. There is always freshly squeezed juice, hot ginger tea, and ice cold water to keep you hydrated. As you prepare to descend for your next dive, let your senses take over as our Chefs prepare culinary delights, made in our open kitchen.

Komodo Trip, October 2017 - Scuba Junkie Dive Resort - 4K UHD
Fabulous few days staying at Scuba Junkie Komodo, located within the Komodo National Park.
The resort is an ideal location for day-boat diving in one of the World's Premier dive destinations. Friendly, clean and excellent food, it's a Scuba Travel Channel Highly Recommended budget to mid-range priced destination.
In October 2017, a twin Balinese bale cost around $120 per person per night including 3 dives, and full board. A limited number of air-conditioned rooms are available, but I found the bales were perfectly comfortable.
Comfortable and relaxing, in a beautiful location, and well equipped, but do note that it is some distance from established infrastructure, so if Western-style luxury is your thing, this resort is not for you.
There are dive sites aplenty, offering a broad range of types from drifts through to pinnacles, although Komodo is subject to currents, so listening carefully to the DM is critical. Most of the diving is kept shallower than 25m, as Nitrox is not available, or needed. Stunning unspoiled coral, with enormous diversity of marine life, from passing pelagics, through to fabulous muck diving (macro). Komodo is a special destination.
Subscribe to the Scuba Travel Channel and watch other scuba diving videos from this amazing destination, and others around the world.

KLM AMALIA 2016 UBER SCUBA LIVEABOARD
KLM AMALIA is a brand new UBER SCUBA LIVEABOARD project.
This Video hasn't any promotional aim. It is simply a collage of the best moments we had with all our new friends, divers and non divers during this 2016.
Most of the pictures and videos are not taken by professionals, different qualities and resolutions, taken by different types of cameras and phones. No filters, no attempt of make up. It is just the perspective through your eyes'
The only intention is celebrating together with you the Historical 2016 of our dream. THANK YOU VERY MUCH
