Catching Big Snapper Bonito Sharks East Coast Fishing (Ft. Jettie Rocks)
I caught my personal best Red Snapper three times while fishing on the east coast of Florida with Mike D. (Jettie Rocks Fishing on Youtube). We were hooking into and catching HUGE fish during the three days I spent deep sea fishing about ten miles off shore.
Episode 1
Subscribe to Mike D. here:
This is the first episode of a series that I've put together where we landed many different species of fish, including:
In addition to the incredible fish hook ups and catches we also witnessed a giant Tiger Shark that surfaced right next to the boat, and were graced with the presence of several Leatherback Sea Turtles.
There were two methods we used to catch fish:
1. Free-lining or flat-lining Cigar minnows or Spanish sardines 2. Bottom fishing with four ounce weights, seven ought hooks, cut bait and live Pinfish
Even though the fishing was the best I've experienced in a long time, the friendship that has begun between Mike, Summer and Amber far outweighs the largest fish I caught on this trip to the east coast of Florida! We are already talking about collaborating again when Red Snapper season opens.
I'd like to give some special shout outs to the people who made all this possible.
First mate: Summer (Chatterbox) you did an amazing job of helping me catch fish and making me feel welcome on your boat, thanks! Oh, and thanks for the awesome nickname.
Captain: Mike (Sharkwrangler) thanks so much for everything, especially for the time and money you invested in making this a fishing adventure I'll never forget.
Mom and Mike's better half: Amber (nickname to be determined) thanks for everything you did to make this trip fun for all of us. Your smiles, laughter , hard work and adventurous spirit helped create this awesome weekend for us all, thanks!
Myself: JC (Anchoreboy) you're really writing about yourself here? So egotistical dude. Honestly, the only shout you should get is a negative one for not tying that knot good and losing a Huge fish. Oh, go easy on yourself dude. You did great!
