The Empire of The City - Three City States: London, Vatican, District of Columbia
The Empire of The City - Three City States - London, the Vatican, and the District of Columbia.
The Empire of the City consists of three cities, which belong to no nation or state and pay no taxes: Vatican City, the City of London (inside London), and Washington DC. Vatican City controls the world through religion, the City of London controls the world through currency, and Washington DC controls the world through force.
The City of London (or the Square Mile) is a plot of land approximately a square mile in London. It is independent from England and is ruled by the City of London Corporation.
Located in the center of each city is an Egyptian obelisk erect. They are: the obelisk in St. Peter’s Square, the Washington Monument, and Cleopatra’s Needle in the City of London. One question that immediately springs to mind is why is there an Egyptian obelisk, which is a tribute to the Egyptian sun god Amen-Ra, in the middle of Vatican City? Contained within these three cities is more than 80% of the world’s wealth.
The Empire of “the City” is essentially the British Empire, or more accurately, the forces behind the British Empire of the past. The Empire asserts its control over its colonies (such as the US, Canada, Australia, the European Union) through complicated means.
One of their means of control is to have agents of their cause in high places of influence. This cabal of powerful manipulators is known collectively as the Illuminati, the Shadow Government, the Omega Agency, the Government within the Government, and so on. It does not matter what they are called. They are there and have been actively and legislatively writing away our freedoms and also have been working towards the New World Order. Examples of this is the Patriot Acts, H. R. Bill 1955, the European Union Constitution, and the Security and Prosperity Partnership.

Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton Juneteenth Book Festival Public Service Announcement
Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton is featured endorsing the Juneteenth Book Festival (JBF) to be held in Washington, D.C. this June 19-20. The JBF Media Youth Ambassadors for the District of Columbia are from Ballou Senior High School. The students filmed and did the post-production (guided by their lead instructor, Arnelle Hughes). This film is the first of a series of short films written and produced by Maria Fenton promoting the black book and cultural arts festival with the intention of raising awareness, engagement and support.
June 19-20, 2015 will mark the First Annual Eleanor Holmes Norton Juneteenth Book Festival, a cultural book festival celebrating the works and stories of Americans of the African Diaspora as recognition of their vast literary contributions leading up to and following the 1865 Emancipation Proclamation in the United States of America.
The Juneteenth Book Festival (JBF)'s purpose is to highlight and celebrate literature and its critical role in the pursuit and protection of survival, freedom and expansion of African-American men, women and children. It is the only of its kind being held in the nation's capital.
Literacy has always been a critical means to freedom and an important tool in obtaining and preserving civil rights for all Americans: that certainly rings true for African-Americans. One of the most monumental periods in American history was the issuance of the Emancipation Proclamation.
During this two-day event publishers, authors, literary and education-focused institutions, performers and vendors will gather to education, exhibit, sell, engage and entertain visitors with literacy-based events and products.
The event kicks-off Friday with a day long workshop for literary artists, retailers, educators, media makers and book signings featuring 1 of our featured honorees. The day closes with an evening dinner celebrating the 150th anniversary of Juneteenth and Honoring Literary Artists & Literacy Champions who have made an impact on the preservation and advancement of African Ameican culture at the Library of Congress at Madison Hall.
Saturday is the main day with the Juneteenth Book Festival featuring domestic and international book vendors, a kids pavilion with free books for children 18 years and younger; alongside live performances (music, dance and literary artists), and cultural and vegatarian foods. It will be held an Anacostia National Park.
The Juneteenth Book Festival was created and organized by Maria Fenton, the founder and Chief Creative Officer of ArtLifeStyle, a creative works firm located in greater Washington, D.C. in June 2014. The Juneteenth Book Festival Advisory Board was formed in October 2014 consisting of nine distinguished Scholars, Educators, Activists and Artisans: Dr. Brenda Greene, Dr. Josef Sorett, Joyce Shabazz, Lauren Ruffin, Rahman Branch, Kymone Freeman, Haile and Shirikiana Gerima, Makini Niliwaambieni-Owusu, and Diallo Sumbry.

The State Of D.C. Charter Schools: Where We’ve Been And Where We’re Going
The Hoover Institution hosts The State of D.C. Charter Schools: Where We’ve Been and Where We’re Going on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 3:00pm - 4:30pm EST.
A quarter-century ago, Minnesota passed America’s first charter school law. While charters have veered from the expectation that they would act as “incubators of innovation,” they have become a transformative force in education that has racked up notable successes when serving disadvantaged inner-city kids. Although state policy and local support have been indispensable, it’s impossible to ignore the fact that private philanthropy has driven much of the charter sector’s growth.
That funding has been especially significant in the nation’s capital, which now boasts one of the largest, best funded, and most successful charter environments in the nation. The sector’s strength wouldn’t be possible without the many local and national philanthropies that have invested generously in excellent schools (particularly “no-excuses” models). Charter Schools at the Crossroads: Predicaments, Paradoxes, Possibilities, the new book co-authored by Chester E. Finn, Jr., Bruno Manno, and Brandon Wright, takes a close look at how this philanthropic investment has driven the sector’s evolution—for better or worse.
What exactly has been philanthropy’s role in the District’s success? Has it been enough? Where should it go as we move into the next twenty-five years? How far can we push the “no-excuses” practice to maintain its record of high performance? And what else, besides more and better no-excuses schools, could chartering do for D.C. and the country?
Join the Thomas B. Fordham Institute and the Hoover Institution on October 26 for the second event in an occasional series of in-depth discussions about the past, present and future of charter schooling in Washington, D.C.
Join the conversation online with @educationgadfly and@HooverInst at #ChartersAt25.
Moderator:
Katherine Haley, The Philanthropy Roundtable
Panelists:
Chester E. Finn, Jr., The Thomas B. Fordham Institute
