The Most HIDDEN Underground Cities
Have you ever imagined a life without the sun? How could we possibly survive? Today we'll show you how with the most impressive underground cities!
1. GROWING UNDERGROUND, LONDON:
In this city located in an old war bunker in London, they managed to sustain a whole farm. This seems almost impossible, however they did it by using a hydroponic, vertical, pesticide-free system. Also, they use the space much more efficiently, saving 70% of the water used on it.
2. EARTHSCRAPER, MEXICO CITY:
As you had already imagined, this is the complete opposite building to a skyscrapers, as it goes down towards the Earth core. 65 stories to be precise. It has a pyramid-shaped design and an open central space where daylight can flood in to the depths of the earth.
3. THE LOWLINE, NEW YORK:
The Lowline is a project based on the success of the Highline, an abandoned elevated railway converted into a lush public space. The aim is to give an unused trolley terminal a makeover. It's expected to be opened by 2020. The natural light would be directed below ground using a system called remote skylights based on parabolic reflectors and optic fiber cables.
4. RÉSO, MONTREAL:
This is the largest subterranean complex in the world and has been in use since the 1960s. It's a way of hiding from the terrible cold temperatures they suffer. We can find multi-level shopping centers, hotels, restaurants and metro stations. All linked by tunnels.
5. UNDERGROUND CITY, HELSINKI:
This underground city includes more than 125 miles of tunnels filled with everything you would expect in an overground city, and the best thing is that they have plans to continue to expand the subterranean public spaces.
6. SUBTROPOLIS, KANSAS CITY:
This city occupies 1,100 acres of abandoned limestone mines since 1964. More than 1,600 people work in this naturally climate-controlled, rock-carved space every day. We can find subTropolis houses and everything from cave-aged cheese to car storage space, and an array of small businesses. Also it naturally maintains temperatures between 18 and 21 °C all year-round.
7. UNDERGROUND SCIENCE CITY, SINGAPORE:
In Singapore they've had a space problem for a long time. So they designed this Underground Science City for up to 4,200 scientists, researchers, and professionals in Research and Development facilities. But also, there are many restaurants and shopping malls.
9) Burlington, U.K.
This is a city built by the British Government in 1955 in case of a nuclear attack. A 35-acre network of hidden entrances, streets, canteens, and purpose-built rooms to house the Prime Minister, the entire British government and the Royal Family. It even had a telephone switchboard and a hospital inside. However it's been closed off since 1991.
10) Derinkuyu, Turkey
This is an ancient multi-level underground city extending to a depth of approximately 60 metres. It is large enough to have sheltered as many as 20,000 people together with their livestock and food stores. This city could be closed from the inside with huge stone doors and had ventilation and running water.

Trump’s secret deal with Mexico news to them
President Trump announced Monday that his administration has inked a secret agreement with Mexico on immigration enforcement that will be unveiled in the “not too distant future.” But the revelation stumped Mexican Foreign Secretary Marcelo Ebrard, who said he wasn’t aware of any such deal. “We have fully signed and documented another very important part of the Immigration and Security deal with Mexico, one that the U.S. has been asking about getting for many years,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “It will be revealed in the not too distant future and will need a vote by Mexico’s Legislative body!” But Trump warned that if there is a problem and the “approval is not forthcoming,” tariffs against Mexican imports will be imposed. The Trump administration has been prodding Mexico to enter into a “safe third country” agreement, which would deem Mexico a safe place for migrants and make it more difficult for migrants from Central America to pass through the country and claim asylum at the US border. But the deal announced last Friday made no mention of that issue. Mexico insisted it has not agreed to the safe third country provision, and confirmed, as Trump said, that it would require approval from local lawmakers. “They wanted something else totally different . . . to be signed,” Ebrard said of the Trump administration at a news conference in Mexico City. “But that is what there is here. There is no other thing beyond what I have just explained.” Mexico has resisted such a designation, though a US official claimed Mexico has expressed an openness to the idea behind closed doors and discussions will continue in the coming months. Ebrard said if the deal announced Friday does not begin to drive down migrant numbers in the next 45 days, officials will open up new discussions. “We told them — I think it was the most important achievement of the negotiations — ‘let’s set a time period to see if what Mexico is proposing will work, and if not, we’ll sit down and see what additional measures’ ” are needed, Ebrard said. see also Trump's big win on Mexico and immigration All the hysteria over President Trump’s latest tariff threat to... The aim would be to establish a regional refugee system in conjunction with the United Nations and the governments of Guatemala, Panama and Brazil — three countries where migrants flee and head to the US. On Friday, Trump backed off slapping Mexico with a series of 5 percent tariffs after Mexico offered a number of concessions — including sending national guard troops to the Guatemala border. But The New York Times reported that many of the proposals had been in discussion for months, leading Trump to call the newspaper “failing.” In an interview on CNBC, Trump defended his use of tariffs as a negotiating tool that forced Mexico to reach the deal with the US. He also predicted that the levies would pressure China to give in on trade talks with the US. “People haven’t used tariffs, but tariffs are a beautif

Andres Stebelski opens up artist's Mexico City house to its courtyard - Beauty Architecture
Stained white walls, black-framed windows and roof gardens surround a courtyard overflowing with greenery in this house in Mexico City, which architect Andres Stebelski has overhauled for an artist. While renovating the U-shaped residence in the old Tacubaya area of the Mexican capital, Stebelski was struck by the fact that the rooms were arranged around a central patio that they had no access to.To resolve this, the Mexican architect added a series of glazed doors with black frames to open the ground floor onto the outdoor space, which features herringbone-patterned paving and an abundance of potted planting.New windows also ensure that plenty of natural daylight is brought inside. The new project is built around the original patio to create the central focal point of the house, said Stebelski, who has also completed a clay-covered house in the city. His design is the latest in a series of adaptations of the residence, which was once used as a dental practice. To create continuity across the building's various elements, all the walls are covered with a white lime plaster. This has already weathered with a black tear-stained patina caused by rain so that it appears aged instead of new.The intention of the house was that there wasn't distinction between the intervened and the original, the architect told Dezeen. The result is a new house full of light that seems to have always been there. On the ground floor, dividing walls were stripped out to create an open-plan space for the artist's main living area.It features a new wood-panelled ceiling supported by beams, while openings on either side create cracks of light. The lounge and the dining area occupy one of the wings, and are partitioned by a wooden shelf.Atall set of wooden bookshelves fitted at one end of the space is accompanied by a ladder that makes the top accessible, while low-level cabinets run along the longer wall to provide storage for an extensive collection of music records. At the dining-room end, a large window offers a view to a secluded garden slotted in the corner of the house with a large wooden statue placed in front.Colourful patterned tiles covering the floor are complemented by a series of vibrant features, like bright wall posters and potted plants – a continuation of the greenery outside. The kitchen, which occupies a nook around the corner of this floor, is finished more neutrally with wooden cabinets and white stone counters.Continuing the more decorative aesthetic, the entrance hall has pink and green floor tiles and a wall made of moving blocks, an artwork created by the resident.Above this wing, the architect added a new first floor to make two extra bedrooms – a third is located above the opposing other wing.Adoorway opens the master bedroom onto a narrow balcony overlooking the courtyard. It is one series of roof gardens added at different levels to the house. Other residential projects in Mexico City include a concrete home with glazed walls that fully open to the outdoors and a property elevated off the ground to allow plants to grow underneath.

No Questions Asked About The Pyramid Found In Mexico
A Secret Pyramid Was Found Inside an Ancient Temple in Mexico
The ancient Temple of Kukulkan, dedicated to its namesake—the feathered serpent god K’uk’ulkan, or Quetzalcoatl—has been slowly revealing its secrets for more than a century.
During excavations in the 1930s, a second, hidden pyramid containing an embellished red jaguar-shaped throne was discovered inside of the structure. Years later, in 2015, it was revealed that an enormous underground cavern, or “cenote,” lead to a subterranean river system beneath Kukulkan, and possibly held sacred significance to the early Mayans who worshiped there.
Now, archaeologists believe they’ve found the temple’s original structure: another smaller pyramid “encapsulated underneath the visible temple” that was built somewhere between 500 and 800 CE, according to the Associated Press.
This third pyramid could represent the “pure Maya” style, which bears no stylistic influence from outside civilizations, such as the Toltec peoples who originated from modern Hidalgo, Mexico, and are said to have conquered the city of Chichen Itza.
“If this could be investigated in the future, this structure would be significant because it would speak to the first few periods of habitation of the site and would provide information about how the settlement developed,” archaeologist Denisse Lorenia Argote said.
“With the discovery of this structure, we're talking about something from the pure Mayans. A lot has been excavated, and there is a lot of information on the transitional periods [of the Mayas] and there is a Mexican style at the site, but there is little information on the original site,” Argote added.
