Traditional British food isn't boring or at least it isn't when you go on a Secret Food Tour.
It isn't just fish and chips anymore. With some of London's best market and street food I was able to discover how far British food has come since the days when jellied eel and oysters were the typical diet of a fisherman. The tour marries history and food in the most iconic sites of London.
Enjoy & Bon Appétit!

London's Secret Cajun Restaurant
In this video we visit, The Fat Bear, a restaurant serving Southern American style food, hidden above a pub in the picturesque back streets of the City of London, just a stones throw away from St. Pauls Cathedral.
Taking inspiration mainly from Louisiana, Cajun, Creole, and Southern American food, American ex -pat, Judy Ong, delivers a classy take on traditional comfort foods like fried chicken and waffles, gumbo, and jambalaya. Her Partner, Gareth Rees, takes on the front of house and bar, providing a substantial choice of whiskies, including high-end American, bourbon's, and rye whiskies, such as Pappy Van Winkle, and George T. Stagg.
The Fat Bear also occasionally hold crawfish/crayfish boil events, bringing a full Louisiana experience to the City.
Cocktails & live music at London's secret bar, The Gobpsy
The Gobpsy. A charming and low-lit speakeasy, caters to sophisticated drinkers popping down the secret stairway to savour the drinks, as much as socialise- if you can find the stairs down a vintage barbershop on Fenchurch Street, that is!
university student at king's college london day in the life || Mei-Ying Chow Vlog
♡ London university vlog 2020 || Mei-Ying Chow X King's college London ♡
I thought I would give you a bit of an updated day in the life of a second year uni student studying Economics & Management at kings college london, ironically I walk past UCL every morning before I get to uni! I take you into my 3 tutorials, which include corporate finance, macroeconomics and consumer behaviour as well as give you some insight into the modules I'm currently studying. I hang out with my friends in the kitchen and dining spaces a lot as well as the meadow... and of course try out the new sleeping pods on the 8th floor. I also have a fun friday hobby of popping to my nearest T2 for a free iced matcha and catch my friends reaction. It wouldn't be a friday without ending it with the highlight of my week - the fancy dinner with dad. Despite spilling my berry matcha down my clean white shirt, Janika and I just about managed to salvage it so I could feel all dressed up for Frenchie. Tell me those courses didn't make you salivate... I really hope you enjoyed this vlog and if you have any questions feel free to leave them in the comment section below!

If you visit London, steer well clear of this street food. No matter how much you’re tempted...
A secret war is being waged. Hidden in plain sight, there’s a constant game of cat and mouse between council enforcers and illegal hotdog merchants.
As well as the obvious dangers of undercooked, unsanitary poor quality meat, there is also the matter of unlicensed, unregistered workers, carting about unsecured and potentially unsafe gas canisters next to open flames.
The extraordinary lengths both sides go to outsmart and outwit the other will shock and surprise you. Just like how the food is actually prepared.
But why do they taste so good? The secret ingredient of course… is crime.
