Sedona Airport Vortex Hike 4k Ultra HD video
A 4k Ultra HD video of the Sedona Airport vortex areain Arizona. This video was filmed in September 2016 on my most recent trip. I always feel an intense draw back to Sedona and go as often as my schedule will permit. Its not just the intense beauty that attracts people here, but a magic in this area, a unique energy that cannot be denied.
I'm going to continue producing HD videos for my disabled friend and will upload them to YouTube as soon after they are produced. I'm probably going to produce a series of short Sedona 4k videos because uploading longer films would be impossible with 4k video because of the file size. If you aren't happy with the music i recommend muting it and using Pandora. Thanks for watching. Video, graphic and description © Copyright 2016 by Richard Anderson.

Places to see in ( Sedona - USA )
Sedona is an Arizona desert town near Flagstaff that’s surrounded by red-rock buttes, steep canyon walls and pine forests. It’s noted for its mild climate and vibrant arts community. Uptown Sedona is dense with New Age shops, spas and art galleries. On the town’s outskirts, numerous trailheads access Red Rock State Park, which offers bird-watching, hiking and picnicking spots.
Nestled amid striking red sandstone formations at the south end of the 16-mile Oak Creek Canyon, Sedona attracts spiritual seekers, artists and healers, as well as day-trippers from Phoenix trying to escape the oppressive heat. Many New Age types believe that this area is the center of vortexes (not 'vortices' here in Sedona) that radiate the earth's power, and you'll find all sorts of alternative medicines and practices on display. More tangibly, the surrounding canyons offer outstanding hiking, biking, swimming and camping.
The town itself bustles with art galleries and expensive gourmet restaurants. In summer the traffic and the crowds can be heavy. Regionally, Oak Creek Canyon begins north of Uptown Sedona; the Village of Oak Creek, however, is south of the city.
Sedona's main attraction is its array of red sandstone formations. The formations appear to glow in brilliant orange and red when illuminated by the rising or setting sun. The red rocks form a popular backdrop for many activities, ranging from spiritual pursuits to the hundreds of hiking and mountain biking trails. Sedona was named after Sedona Arabella Miller Schnebly (1877–1950), the wife of Theodore Carlton Schnebly, the city's first postmaster, who was celebrated for her hospitality and industriousness.
Sedona is located in the Upper Sonoran Desert of northern Arizona. Sedona has mild winters and hot summers. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 19.2 square miles (49.7 km2), of which 0.04 square miles (0.1 km2), or 0.22%, is water. The red rocks of Sedona are formed by a unique layer of rock known as the Schnebly Hill Formation. The Schnebly Hill Formation is a thick layer of red to orange-colored sandstone found only in the Sedona vicinity. The sandstone, a member of the Supai Group, was deposited during the Permian Period.

“Let’s go” has pretty much been our life’s motto since we met nearly 25 years ago. We met in New York, moved to San Diego together, and married in Lake Tahoe – all within five months. When you know, you know – you know what we mean?
Now, after raising two adventure-seeking boys, we are ready to get out and explore some more. Our children have begun their lives and now it’s time to begin the second-half of ours.
We wanted a challenge and something fun, so we are starting an adventure of a lifetime. We’re calling it #60×60. Our plan is to travel to 60 countries by the time Kim turns 60 (that’s in 6 years by the way).

Living in Arizona is quite a unique experience because of the vastness that the state offers. From the Sonoran Desert in the south to the high country in the north all the way up towards the Four Corners east and the Grand Canyon in the west. Known as the Grand Canyon state, Arizona is diverse in many ways. The state tree is the Palo Verde, the state cactus is the Saguaro, the state bird is the Cactus wren.
