This Buddhist temple is located in Toyohashi, Tame-cho (town). It was built in 726 A.D. by a monk called Gyougi after being asked to do so by Shomu tenno (emperor). The area is filled with beauty on the mountainside. It has an ancient gate that you can pass through before entering the temple complex next to the graveyard and mountain stream. There are many statues and traditional Japanese architecture to be explored.
