5 - West Ham United FC
The team's supporters are famous for their rendition of the chorus of their team's anthem, I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles introduced to the club by former manager Charlie Paynter in the late 1920s. The origins of West Ham's links with organised football-related violence starts in the 1960s with the establishment of The Mile End Mob (named after an area of the East End of London). During the 1970s and '80s (the main era for organised football-related violence), West Ham gained further notoriety for the levels of hooliganism in their fan base and antagonistic behaviour towards both their own and rival fans, and the police.

The club takes advantage of this support through its worldwide summer tours, which has included playing in front of 101,000 in Michigan, U.S., and 95,000 in Melbourne, Australia.Liverpool fans often refer to themselves as Kopites, a reference to the fans who once stood, and now sit, on the Kop at Anfield. The song You'll Never Walk Alone, originally from the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical Carousel and later recorded by Liverpool musicians Gerry and the Pacemakers, is the club's anthem and has been sung by the Anfield crowd since the early 1960s.

Crystal Palace have a fan base drawn predominantly from the local area which draws on South London, Kent, and Surrey. Their original home, at The Crystal Palace, was on the boundary with Kent, while Selhurst Park was within Surrey's borders until the London Government Act 1963 saw Greater London encompass Croydon. The club's passionate support at home games emanates from the Holmesdale Road Stand, in which the ultras group the Holmesdale Fanatics have been based since 2005.

The Holmesdale Fanatics were formed in 2005 by five third-generation Palace fans, and have been vocal not only with their songs but also in protesting causes from the ‘20 is plenty’ ticket-price campaign to the closure of the London nightclub Fabric. They have seen their latest cause garner plenty of interest across Europe, with banners of support appearing at Paris Saint-Germain and as far away as Greek club Panionios. Closer to home, nearly 5,000 have signed a petition calling for their return at Selhurst Park.
The HF’s plans are now about more than just shuffling across a stand. Their mission is to instigate a revolution that takes English football fandom away from what they perceive as the modern “sterile” atmosphere towards a more vibrant, energised and well-organised support seen across the continent, and to lead the way in English football like Borussia Dortmund’s die gelbe Wand or AC Milan’s Curva Sud.
With the board’s backing the HF believe they can recreate the intensity in the stands that stood out most notably on recent trips to Wembley. Their constant noise and colour during the 2016 FA Cup final impressed Manchester United’s hierarchy so much, in contrast to their own noticeably flat backing, that United were moved to create a singing section at Old Trafford in an attempt to replicate Palace’s support.
“Having scenes like that in the Premier League would be incredible,” says the HF member. “It’s a do or die moment. The club can either grow the atmosphere – and people can come to Selhurst and be blown away by it, inspiring the players, inspiring young fans – or we will go back to square one just like any other club with a sterile Premier League stadium.”

The National Sports Centre at Crystal Palace in south London, England is a large sports centre and athletics stadium. It was opened in 1964 in Crystal Palace Park, close to the site of the former Crystal Palace Exhibition building, and is on the same site as the former FA Cup Final venue which was used here between 1895 and 1914. The ground currently plays home to Kent Invicta Football League side AC London for their maiden season.
It was one of the five National Sports Centres, run on behalf of Sport England, but responsibility was transferred to the London Development Agency (now GLA Land and Property) and is managed by Greenwich Leisure Limited, under their Better brand logo.
The sports centre building was designed by the LCC Architects Department under Sir Leslie Martin between 1953–54 and is a Grade II* listed building.[1] It has a particularly interesting interior: there is a central concourse with a complex and delicate exposed concrete frame supporting the roof, which has a folded teak lining, and to one side a series of pools, including a 50m competition pool, and a diving pool with a dramatic reinforced concrete diving platform, and to the other side a smaller sports arena.
The athletics stadium has a capacity of 15,500, which can be increased to 24,000 with temporary seating. It hosts international athletics meetings.

Croydon is a large town in south London, England, 9.5 miles south of Charing Cross. The principal settlement in the London Borough of Croydon, Croydon is one of the largest commercial districts outside Central London, with an extensive shopping district and night-time economy.
Croydon expanded in the Middle Ages as a market town and a centre for charcoal production, leather tanning and brewing. The Surrey Iron Railway from Croydon to Wandsworth opened in 1803 and was the world's first public railway. Later nineteenth century railway building facilitated Croydon's growth as a commuter town for London. By the early 20th century, Croydon was an important industrial area, known for car manufacture, metal working and Croydon Airport. In the mid 20th century these sectors were replaced by retailing and the service economy, brought about by massive redevelopment which saw the rise of office blocks and the Whitgift Centre, the largest shopping centre in London until 2008. Croydon was amalgamated into Greater London in 1965.
Croydon lies on a transport corridor between central London and the south coast of England, to the north of two gaps in the North Downs, one followed by the A23 Brighton Road through Purley and Merstham and the main railway line and the other by the A22 from Purley to the M25 Godstone interchange. Road traffic is diverted away from a largely pedestrianised town centre, mostly consisting of the North End. East Croydon is a major hub of the national railway transport system, with frequent fast services to central London, Brighton and the south coast. The town is unique in Greater London for its Tramlink light rail transport system.
