Seven Tubs Recreation Area, Wilkes-Barre, PA
The Seven Tubs Recreation Area is located just 4 miles south of downtown Wilkes-Barre and is something that needs to be seen in person. This video does the scenery there no justice. If you ever get a chance to go and see the result of what thousands of years of erosion can do to the landscape, then I recommend you check this place out. Very family friendly and accessible for hikers of all ages and skill levels.

Hiking with Kids! Today we enjoyed a hike at Seven Tubs Nature Area in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. It was a pretty typical Pennsylvania trail and was just a couple of miles long. It was a nice, quick hike and is the perfect stop if you're looking to get some cardio in and enjoy some rushing water.

Exploring the Seven Tubs Natural Area & Anthracite Mining Roads near Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania
In September of 2018 I spent a week in the Pocono Mountains Region of Pennsylvania. This is one of my favorite parts of Pennsylvania, and I have not spent much time in the area since 2009. I re-visited the Seven Tubs Natural Area, and also explored numerous old Anthracite mining roads near Wilkes-Barre by following the main (road turned trail) out of the park. This adventure takes place on two different days. The first day is in the evening, and the second day (where I explore the mining roads) & find an old mine entrance took place in the early afternoon. The Seven Tubs Natural area is only a few miles from the City Center of Wilkes-Barre, PA. There are so many interesting outdoorsy things to do in and around the Poconos. I will be sharing other adventures from my September 2018 Trip in future videos. I hope that these videos inspire you to go out and explore (where ever you are). The possibilities are endless.

Explored Seven Tubs up in Luzerne County Wilkes Barre, PA. Not a lot of people but still had fun and the water was way to cold for this time of year. Definitely a place my friends and I will be visiting in the future!

SEVEN TUBS Natural Area - Brook Trout Fishing
Visiting the Seven Tubs Natural Area outside of Wilkes-Barre for some decent Brook Trout fishing in the winter. The Seven Tubs area has some really interesting geological features and waterfalls, and also has some great water quality and Brook Trout. Spent a quick few hours fishing but didn't see another soul and had a great experience.

Seven Tubs State Park Pa.
The Seven Tubs Natural Area is a publicly accessible recreation area located in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, and owned by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Continuously flowing glacial meltwater gouged a line of smooth tubs in gritty sandstone over 12,000 years ago.[1] The tubs are potholes formed by the flowing water. The site is part of a 527-acre nature area in the Pennsylvania mountains about 4 miles south of downtown Wilkes-Barre.[2] The site is popular among hikers for its easy accessibility and beginner-level hiking environment.
