Wyoming's Crazy Woman Canyon In the Big Horn Mountains
Just 15 minutes south of our Buffalo Wyoming Motel, mountainviewbuffalo , is Crazy Woman Canyon. The canyon is inscribed into the foot hills of the Big Horn Mountains.
The story of the canyon is that there were a family of settlers who built a cabin in the canyon. Indians raided the cabin and killed everyone except the settlers wife. She retreated int the woods and went crazy. She then engaged the Indians in guerrilla warfare, for years.
