China Shenzhen Baoan Airport
China Shenzhen baoan airport.
Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport (Chinese: 深圳宝安国际机场; formerly Shenzhen Huangtian Airport) (IATA: SZX, ICAO: ZGSZ) is located near Huangtian and Fuyong villages in Bao'an District, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, 32 kilometres (20 mi) northwest of the city center. It is a hub for Shenzhen Airlines and Shenzhen Donghai Airlines and for cargo airline SF Airlines, and a focus city for China Southern Airlines and Hainan Airlines. The airport also serves as an Asian-Pacific cargo hub for UPS Airlines.[1] The airport is undergoing major expansion with a second runway completed and opened in 2011 and a new terminal which opened in 2013.
It is one of the three largest airport hubs serving the Pearl River Delta urbanised area in southern China, alongside Hong Kong International Airport and Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. The airport also has direct ferry routes to Hong Kong International Airport, where passengers can transit without going through immigration and custom checks, akin to transit between two flights.

luohu commercial city centre market in Shenzhen China
Louhu Commercial city is a huge shopping complex right across Shenzhen and Hong Kong border. This place also houses a long distance bus station, Train station, city buses and Shenzhen metro station. Mall is infamous for good quality knock offs of popular high end brands. You can find shoes, watches, sunglasses, bags, jade jewellary and lots of stuff.
This is more oriented for tourists, foreigners and HK visitors. Bargaining is very bad and sellers often quote outrageous amounts. You can get good stuff if bargaining is done right.
Sellers might be rude, pushy. They all know English. be ready for loads of bargaining and get a good deal.
If you have time, go visit nearby dong men area and Laojie area.

Kami sekeluarga main ke Window Of The World.

TRIP to SHENZHEN, CHINA
Made a trip to Shenzhen, China last December 2018, it was winter and the temperature was around 12 degree. Flew from Dhaka to destination Shenzhen, had 10 hours transit in Malaysia. Shenzhen is modern and developed city with many skyscrapers and expensive cars, it connected mainland China to Hong Kong. I captured some of the attractions and local life in the video, you will get an idea of everyday life there. Also some of the food and transport cost is mentioned here, hope you will find it useful. Some of the observations of my China trip:
1. Chinese people are very helpful in general, if you ask they will try to help you with everything.
2. They are very curious about foreigners, you will get special attention if your skin is dark.
3. Most of them don't know English, so most of the time you will need to communicate with them in sign language.
4. Google apps doesn't work in China, even you use VPN they don't work always, so its better if you download some other offline map before entering China, I used maps.me which is GPS based, helped me lot to find subway stations and other destinations.
5. Public transport is cheap, easy and comfortable. You can use bus and subway almost everywhere.
6. If you use subway, you can use Explore Shenzhen Metro map, this app helped me a lot to reach destination, especially you can check if you need to change subway line using this app.
7. Hotels are bit expensive in Shenzhen, but still you will find some moderate hotels within 20-30 USD.
8. Foreigners need to register themselves after arriving China to nearest police station, some hotels might do the registration at hotel.
9. Its better to exchange money at airport, their rate is not bad, you can change money at Bank of China too, but its more hassle, in my case bank asked my TIN number which I didn't have and had to wait 1 hour.
10. Young and old everyone always seems happy, people enjoy their life there, you will see old people are dancing in park with music. Ties among Chinese society and family members are very strong. Chinese government is always trying to make peoples life easier and better, you can realize seeing the facilities and utilities provided by the government to citizens there.

Shenzhen Airport, Bao'an Stadium and waiting for Dim Sum
23.02.2014: After we had a nice Sunday Dim Sum brunch at TaiPan, the same restaurant where I took the video This is China (TIC) - Dim Sum / Zao Cha - Early tea, I went to Bao'an Stadium (宝体) to watch China's Liaoning Whowin vs. Swedish AIK Solna in the China-Europe Cup International Football Challenge match. The game was cancelled for unknown reasons so I went on to Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport (深圳宝安国际机场) to finally see the new airport terminal which opened on November 28, 2013. It was quite impressive to see the new terminal, which is three times the size of former terminals A and B and clearly is a big step forward for passengers including its Ground Transportation Center.
Shenzhen: Day 1
Shenzhen: Day 1 - Being Labour Day even the grey market took a break. Meanwhile Idea Jar Hotel is a budget hostel wonderfully designed for millennial co-living! And yes, you get the interplay for a modern city that is developing faster than Singapore (younger by a decade), yet the cultural norms are spread far and wide (peeing on the pristine streets) ????

Biggest Electronics, gadgets mall, store in Huaqiang North, Shenzhen China
Huaqiangbei – Electronics, Gadgets, Fashion and More
The World's Greatest Electronics Market - Shenzhen, China,
As one of the top shopping destinations in Shenzhen, Huaqiangbei Commercial Street is renowned for its electronics markets, but it also has plenty to offer those looking for men’s and women’s fashion.
The shopping area starts where Huaqiang North Road (aka Huaqiang Bei Lu) intersects with Shennan Middle Road and then all the way north through to Hongli Road totaling about 1km in length. Recently revitalized after 4 years of construction work, Huaqiangbei Road is now a modern pedestrian-friendly shopping mecca that is mirrored by an underground mall stretching the same distance, the largest of its type in China.
The area is reported as being the largest electronics market in China, and possibly one of the largest in the world, which stands to reason as Shenzhen is a major producer of electronics goods, and it’s a city where many big brand tech gadgets are produced.
There are over 20 shopping malls located in the Huaqiangbei area which provides about 70 million square meters of business area. Annual sales reaching over 20 billion, and there’s something like 130,000 people employed in the area. Yep, it’s large.

Shopping in Shenzhen, China
If you compare this video with one I took in Luohu several years ago, I think you'll see the difference (I hope). Knock-off shopping is best in Beijing and for the real stuff, shop at home.
